A Dark Portrait

The face of innocence is painted by deceit
Evil is the artist and anger, hatred and betrayal

Are the colors of a dark palate of deception.
The palate of deception hangs on evil's thumb

Prepared to paint on the canvas of innocence
Anger is the first color, swirled in with hatred.

A dark image is created, tainting the white canvas
Betrayal is next, followed by sabotage

Innocence is painted into a dark portrait of anger and pain
Of sabotage and deceit.

Annihilation and chaos.
Deception comes in different colors.

And innocence is painted into something dark.

I remember when I first dabbled into writing abstract poetry. I was rather nervous to do so, but I actually enjoyed my first result as well. Now, it's almost all I prefer to write. It just seems so much more... poetic and meaningful that way.
