So, I am scrolling through my Facebook feed, and I find something by Sports Illistrated, I think it was, saying that James Harrison is coming out of retirement, and is supposed to sign with the Steelers by Thursday. Now, THe Steelers first round draft picsk for 2013 and 2104 are out, and now Ike Taylor is out for awhile too? Can't say I am surprised, but can he still perform? He didn't make that much of a splash with the Bengels, if I remember correctly.

In my opinion, I think the Steelers are only picking him back up to fill a roster spot because of the multiple injuries they on defense. I don't think he'll perform anywhere near what he did 5 or 6 years ago. His last "really good" year was that year the Steelers went to the Super Bowl against the Cardinals. His career went downhill from there, and it didn't even come close to picking back up. Like you said thing, he did almost nothing at all with the Bengals, and I think that will continue.

Bottom line is, he is just another body for the Steelers until they can figure out how to get more players, whether its someone from their practice squad or someone from free agency.

MattyIce : I agree with you. But, even as a Ravens fan, I was still raised in a Steelers household. I wish nothing but the best for the guy, and hope he can go out with a bang. And, the Panthers are as good a Power Team as any right now. Should be a really good test for him.

I'm not familiar enough with him to have any opinions on this. I can say that I always enjoy seeing veterans come out of retirement.
