Welcome to the first ever Steam Gaming Series here on vizzed. This is the thread to sign up and to ask questions.

For this month, the tournament will feature 2 v 2 tf2 matches on the vizzed server. Throughout the month, there will be various "Series" like in baseball of 3 matches, each series will last 5 days. During each series, one team of two will play another team of 2 and after each series the standings will be updated and the new teams will be made. After 4 or 5 series, the users with the best records will be placed in the final playoffs for the championship.

For the final match, the user with the most points of the winning team gets 1st place and the other user gets 2nd place, and the user with the most points on the losing team gets 3rd place.

To sign up, post here and pay the fee of at least 1000 Viz that will go towards the prize pool.

vanelan : I don't think that picking a mode really matters now, I feel that as long as there's a winning team and a losing team, and a way to determine the best players on each team, then we will be fine. What mode were you thinking of?

I do have two options though if we don't pick one, we could either put together a vote with all of those who will be participating to see which one they want, or we can just pick one to start off, and then change the mode after each series to always keep the matches challenging for each user. What do you think?

earthwarrior : what? You only put up the minimum amount of viz? Tsk tsk tsl, the prize for this is going to end up being very small. But cool, you are our first registered contestant, welcome aboard soldier. You should probably train as much as you can to make sure that you are ready to face the toughest month of your life, you may not make it out alive, in fact, you may be killed over and over.

mourinhosgum : Sweet, once the Viz is paid, you will be a part of the team, I'm going to say the same thing I said to ew, you are going to need to train if you haven't played for that long.

Well so far things are looking good because we now have 3 people officially registered and paid. Combined over those 3 members, the total prize pool is more than 5000 viz, so it looks like things can get fun. One other problem I can see with having the games 3 V 3 is that it will be harder to have 6 people on all at the same time and able to complete 3 matches, though I am pretty sure that we can figure something out to make the contest run smoothly and so everybody has a ton of fun throughout the month.
