Pokemon Fuligin is a very unique pokemon hack where you get to become a member of team rocket! Sounds awesome I know but is the game any good? I'll let you know right now!

Graphics: The graphics are the same as firered and leafgreen no changes so I give the graphics an 8.

Sound: The soundtrack is also the same as firered and leafgreen but there's one major problem I have, the champion theme is nowhere to be seen! Yes the champion theme which by the way is the best theme in firered and leafgreen is gone instead you get to listen to the normal trainer theme when you battle the champion. Why the person who created this hack decided to do that I don't know but it was a very bad move on that person's part for that reason I have to give the sound a 5.

Story: This game has a great and different story that I thought was well written and I loved the dialogue that this game has. I do have to warn you though that this game has a lot of cursing so if you don't like that then I would not recommend this game but if you don't mind that like me then I would recommend playing it. Basically the game starts the same way any other pokemon game would start you get your starting pokemon you go out on your journey you battle and capture other pokemon you battle trainers and gym leaders and try to achieve the ultimate goal: to beat the pokemon league but there is a major twist, eventually your character's brother convinces you to join team rocket with him! I won't give any more spoilers away but the story is fantastic and is well written. I give the story a 9.

Addictiveness: The great story and the fact that you get to be a part of team rocket gives this game massive replay value since there aren't any other hacks out there that I know of that you get to be a team rocket member. For that reason I give addictiveness a 10.

Depth: There's a lot to do in this game though after you beat the pokemon league there's only one more thing you get to do which is you get to battle the creator of the game. That's cool but I wish there could've been more to do besides that. For that reason I can't give depth a 10 so instead I have to give it a 9.

Difficulty: Some of the gym leaders and the pokemon league are difficult which requires level grinding but it's not too hard so I give the difficulty a 6.

Overall: Pokemon Fuligin is a very unique hack that let's you be the bad guy for a change which I think is cool. My only complaints are that the champion theme is not in this game and the fact that there isn't much to do after you beat the pokemon league. Other than that it's a fantastic game. I give the overall score an 8.5.

gamerforlifeforever2 : I have never even heard of this game until now. The review itself is short for me, but you still have done a great job with it. Overall, it's a good length and you have put a good amount of effort into most of the categories. If the game really is that good, I might give it a try some day because you make it sound like it could be a very entertaining and unique game. You have done a great job with this one.

gamerforlifeforever2, thanks for the review!  I've never played any hacked games, but I can't imagine playing a pokemon game without the champion theme.  Maybe they really liked the trainer music? ha!

Is there really a spoiler to be had after you join team rocket?  Wowzers!

I really liked that you gave specific details, by the way. It's nice to hear a few good things as well as the things that aren't as good.

The only advice I'd really give is to list your ratings before your explanations instead of after. Some people just don't like to read and want to see the stats.  By listing the ratings first, you'd make it easier for those number people to glean.

Its pretty short on some of your topics, but perhaps since its a gb? hack fewer words could sum it up. The most important part of this hack for me is your description of the story, and its well noted you mention profanity for those sensitive to it - and not give away your spoilers. Good job!

I'd suggest something more to describe the graphics. The way it is might be confusing to those with no or limited knowledge of poke-games (such as me). I've only played the original Pokemon (blue/red) and Stadium and (hehe) PokemonSnap, so saying the graphics were as good as leafgreen or firered didn't really mean anything to me since I don't know the cycle of which versions came before others without looking it up. Is that the same as the red version I played when Pokemon first came out? Looks a little better though.

I would rate this as an above average review.

When you keep saying same as Fire Red/ Leaf Green or comparing to another game, what if a reader has never play that game? That would confuse and throw them off. If you do plan to compare a game to another game, try to describe it more in detail. Also, were there any differences in the layout of the game, gym battles, champion battles, teams, and etc? Some sections are lacking some detail while some sections have sufficient amount of information about the game.

I do like the information that you provided about this hack. I have never heard about this hack until I came across it. It's nice to see that you get to play as the villain for once instead of the goody two shoes protagonist trainer. Readers have a good sense of idea on the storyline, difficulty, depth, and how the game is set up.

Improve on adding more details especially when comparing at least two games. Other than that, you should be all good.
