A little while ago I bought Persona 4 the animation complete collection DVD and being a BIG fan of the video game, in fact my second favorite game of all time, I was pretty pumped for it. I must say I am very pleasantly surprised just recently finishing it I realized that I loved it! It was very true to the original PS2 game which is a hard thing to do considering that game is HUGE!

I also liked it cause it had some of its own things ( like Narukami getting drunk XD ) but still being true to the game. The animation itself was very nicely drawn and detailed, all the characters looked how they should. Although there are some things that kind of annoy me, for one, the main character Yu Narukami is WAY too powerful, in fact there are a lot of jokes about him being on a new game plus haha. It is RIDICULOUS how over powered they made him, just watch it and you will see, I understand they wanted to make him all cool and stuff, but seriously they overdid it way too much, almost every battle I knew what was going to happen, they get their butts kicked, and then Yu summons a Persona he shouldn't even be close to getting yet, and the song reach out to the truth plays.

There are some other things, but I'm not going to get into detail, overall it was a very solid anime IMO. What are your thoughts, I would love to here them!!

Persona 4 anime is really funny and I like it very much.
But it's not the best anime I know.
I think I would like it better if I had played the game first.

I think it was decent. I would not give it any sort of spectacular rating, but I liked it. 7/10. I thought it was definitely better than the Persona 4 Golden animation though, which only really focused on Marie's route, and a small development of Adachi.
