My favorite 80's-90's movie? Wow that is a big question but I think my answer will be Saving Private Ryan.

My favorite movies from the 80s-90s are All Dogs Go to Heaven, Grave of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Poltergeist, The Lion King, Matilda, and Home Alone (both the first and second movies). It's difficult for me to pick an absolute favorite, but if I have to, I'll stick with All Dogs Go To Heaven.

My favourires would include movies like Pulp Fiction, GoodFellas, Schindler's List, The Silence of the Lambs, Fargo, and Raging Bull.

There is allot of great movies from the 80's to the 90's here are some of my favorites 
Gremlins and Gremlins 2, Back To The Future, Poltergeist, Aliens, The Toxic Avenger, Tremors, The Terminator, Critters, and can't forget the best action movie of all time Die Hard.

My favourite movies from the 80's and 90's are The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Mrs. Doubtfire, A League of Their Own, The Craft, Titanic and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It has to be a tie between Angels in the Outfield and D2: The Mighty Ducks. If I was forced to choose between those 2, I don't think I could, sadly.

Ghostbusters, I still hope for a third part.

This should really be split up into decades. There's too many to choose from even if you did a separate thread for EACH decade, let alone BOTH.

From the 80's it would be Big Trouble in Little China with Kurt Russell. Ghostbusters runs a close second. Coming to America third. I love 80's movies.

80s: Too many to chose from. Includes Back to the Future, E.T., Top Gun, Aliens, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Conan the Barbarian, and many, many more.

90s: The Matrix, easy. Also Forrest Gump, GoldenEye, Jumanji, and The Mummy.

I agree with Jordan. The thread really should have been split up into separate decades.

That would be Wayne's World. Because it's Wayne's World. I need not say more.

That's a tough one because there was lots of good movies that came out in the 80's and 90's. I'll give it a go and see if I can make it a short list for both. Not promising tho. 
80's movies that are my favorites : Something Wicked This Way Comes ( 1983 ), Wargames ( 1983 ), Red Dawn ( 1984 ), Clash of the Titans ( 1981 ), Greystoke : Legend of Tarzan ( 1984 ), Highlander ( 1986 ), The Dark Crystal ( 1981 ), Blade Runner ( 1982 ), Transformers The Movie ( 1986 ), Caddyshack ( 1980 ), Tron ( 1982 I think? ), and the Star Wars Trilogy ( 1982 or 1983 ).
Could list a lot more for the 80's but I will stop there. 

Now on to the 90's this time with no dates added cuz I'm tired of trying to remember and too lazy to look it up  : Independence Day, The Sixth Sense, Princess Mononoke, Con Air ( one of the few movies Nicolas Cage has done I really liked ), The Big Lebowski, The Shawshank Redemption, The Silence of the Lambs, Stargate, The Crow, The Lion King, The Green Mile, and The Addams Family. 
Once again I could put a lot more but I will end it here. Ok brain hurts .. time to go play something or watch an anime. Pz out y'all. 

My favorite on is Star Wars Episodes V-VI. I would say the entire IV - VI but the fourth part was made 1970 something...

dre154 : My favorite Movie from 80's and 90's is Rocky 3. I love that movie. It has a great story line, and best main theme ever! The sequel launched in 1985, and it is also a great movie to watch .

I can't decide between Back to the Future and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Well I have some can't really decide which is my favorite The Mask, The Revenge of the Nerds, Back to the Future, Police Academy, Cannonball Run, Weekend at Bernies, I could consider Short Circuit, would say Howard the Duck but thats neither here nor there. But if I had to really decide probably The Mask or the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
