I finally did enough to get to Steam level 10 recently. Now I have very little interest in going much higher. Why craft badges when the stuff they make can be bought off the market for dirt cheap? I know that every 10 levels it becomes more likely that booster packs will land in the ol' inventory when other people craft badges. But that's 10 whole levels I'd need to scale, and a lot of cards wasted that I could be trading for other games, some of which have trading cards themselves. I'm not interested in bragging rights. I'd much rather have more games that I and others can enjoy in my library.

What do you think about the Steam Level? Are there some other significant reasons to increase the level that I've missed?
