You can read all this on the start up post however basically the more words you type in the description box (This one) The more Viz and Contribution Points you will get. Viz is the currency of the site and is used to buy many things like new consoles to play or BETA tests .Etc. 
Every time you log on you will receive 100 Viz and 1 contribution point.
You start as a Newbie until you make 7-10 posts and wait a week. Newbies can only make 1 thread per day .Etc. This can all be read after registering.
