The old cover art for this game was awful. It was just the Ruby cover with the word "Ultimate" on it written in green letters. While the new one is only slightly more complex, it looks a heck of a lot better. Here it is:

It's simple, but it works. The relevant portions are in plain view, and don't obstruct important sections, except for "ULTIMATE", which frankly looks like a copy/paste job, unlike the text at the bottom, which is well done in color, style, and placement. Also, I would suggest a different color for "ULTIMATE". It does stand out, but doesn't grab my attention as much as it should, imo. I'd suggest making it steel-colored or something a bit more bold. I'm not sure exactly what you can do to avoid having it look like a copy/paste job, though, without having a good deal more knowledge and putting in a good bit of time. Hope this helps!

Surprisingly enough, I was about to give the exact same feedback that supernerd gave.  The Ultimate bit looks a bit out of place and doesn't grab attention very easily. I don't think a steel color would help at all though.
