In November 18, 2001...
The Nintendo GameCube was released to North America.
This console is basically a successor of the Nintendo 64.
Known as Project Dolphin in its earliest stages.
This sixth generation console was amazing!
HOWEVER!
It was basically a commercial failure...
OK NOT BAD AS THE VIRTUAL BOY AND THE GAMEBOY MICRO!
It was still an amazing console!
So you may be asking!
"Why do you think it was a commercial failure?! YOU KNOW IT HAD SUPER AWESOME GAMES!"
To that I say....
"Yes the GameCube did had awesome games, but its competitors except, Mr. DreamCast, had more features!"
I MEAN TAKE A LOOK AT BOTH PS2 AND XBOX!
Ok PS2 was able to play DVDs the XBOX was able to do this too!
HOWEVER!
THE XBOX DOMMINATED THE SIXTH GENERATION THAT IT HAD TO BUY RARE
THOSE RICH SONS OF GOOMBAS HOW DARE YOU!?
However the XBOX was a great console it was basically Windows NT.
Since XBOX is made by the richest and most selfish corporation ever...
SERIOUSLY MICROSOFT I HATE YOU FOR BUYING RARE GIVE THEM BACK TO NINTENDO YOU ROTTEN RATS!
The XBOX could store more data it could done lots of stuff!
Except browse the Internet...
AND WE ALL KNOW WHO WAS ONLY ABLE TO!
DreamCast: MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
Anyways...
So other than awesome games on the GameCube it was not very liked as you would have think.
I mean this is the 2000s!

I mean Nintendo has to now get with the times...
Speaking of Rare that is what they did!
They made the last and most awesome game in the N64!
Conker's Bad Fur Day!
Of course Nintendo wasn't happy with this, but everyone liked it! For the first time we could play a Mature game made by Nintendo!
(Actually Nintendo had nothing to do with Conker's Bad Fur Day, but it was made by Rare of Nintendo)
So what I am saying is that people nowadays want a DVD Player other than just something that plays games!
AND STILL NINTENDO HASN'T MADE ANYTHING NOT EVEN WITH THE WII U!
NINTENDO IF YOU ARE READING THIS!

So that is why the GameCube was a commercial failures, but there is some good things about it!
So right now I am going over that!   




Console Design:

OK FIRST OFF I COULDN'T IMAGINE IT BEING CALLED PROJECT DOLPHIN ITS SOOOO STUPID!
Thank god they changed the name to Nintendo GameCube its much better!
Its design too!
Its one of the most amazing console designs and names at the same time

Ok I guess its useful for like taking it somewhere!?
I guess that is nice...
I mean now you don't have to put it in a backpack or something!
Amazing indeed!
Also it has 4 controller ports which was something Sony couldn't do for some reason!
SERIOUSLY SONY TWICE WE NEED THAT ASININE MULTITAP!?
Also it has 2 Memory Card ports so you can have double the memory I guess!?
Finally on top it has three buttons...
One to turn on and off the system, one to reset it, and one to open the disc tray.
NICE!
There is things on the bottom, but I will get to that that later!

Game Format and Game Library:

At first glance, the game format is the weirdest of them all!
The format is CDs, but not just CDs!
MINI-CDS!
So you wanted to create the smallest console ever and you done it!
(I think the Turbo-Grafx 16 is smaller)
Like I said before the GameCube has many amazing games!
There is like a bunch of good games!
There is...

Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing (This is where the series started), The Simpsons Hit & Run, Paper Mario 2, (The best Mario Party game) Mario Party 7, and Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life.
AND THERE IS MORE AND MORE! SHEESH THIS SURELY WAS A KILLER CONSOLE, BUT IT LACKED MORE!

Graphics and Sound:

AMAZING

NO HOW ABOUT ALL OF THE STARS IN THE UNIVERSE!?
Actually the GameCube had some bad lightning to it and it wasn't that colorful in my opinion...
The sound in the other hand was sounding like real sound now!
However not my personal favorite graphics and sound in a console, but it sure was awesome!

Controller:

Unlike the N64 controller, Nintendo got it right here.
The GameCube controller was amazing that its still one of the controllers that hardcore Super Smash Brothers fighters still use!
WELL USED TO SINCE NINTENDO DISCOUNTINUED THE WIFI SERVICES!
However back in its days the controller was very amazing and very cool to use!
It was indeed the most confortable controller ever!
HOWEVER I HAVE SOMETHING THAT BUGS ME!
THIS CONTROLLER ONLY WORKS WHEN IT FEELS LIKE!
SERIOUSLY SOMETIMES THE THING GOES DEAD AND YOU HAVE TO BLOW INTO THE CONTROLLER AND THE PORT TO MAKE IT WORK AGAIN!
THIS BLOWING THING IS OBSELETE YOU GUYS!
THIS ISN'T A CARTRIDGE OK!?
However this complaint could just be me?
I don't know, but it seems to happen to me...
But overall, nice controller!

Periphreals:

Ok time for some periphreals...
So it would be obvious that this system would get something awesome like its previous consoles, right?
Yeah we actually had some good things for the console, but most of the periphreals were compatible with not that much games
Ok the Microphone was nice it basically is the 2nd Famicom controller.
However only 6 games were made for it!
The DK Bongos were worse only 4 games were made for it!
YES I KNOW THERE WAS ONE EXCLUSIVE IN JAPAN AND TWO CANCELLED ONES, BUT BASICALLY THEY DON'T COUNT!
One periphreal that was so awesome was that it could play GameBoy, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance games.
Using the Game Boy Player attachment!
IT WAS SO AWESOME!
OK I KNOW THERE ARE MORE BUT THOSE ARE THE COOL ONES!
YES I SAID IT THE MIC AND THE BONGOS WERE STILL COOL!

Overall:

In conclusion, the GameCube was a commercial failure.
However it was a very amazing system with almost no flaws.
It was one of the most amazing consoles that Nintendo created, but it seems that the Wii killed it.
However the GameCube will always be an awesome creation!
Made by the most famous video game company ever, Nintendo.
Although it was basically a flop.
We will never forget it came to existence...

Nintendo doesn't need to change their games to match up to the filth and nonsensical gore of the XBox (and yes, many PS3/PS4 games). Nintendo would be crushed if they did that. Nintendo has survived since the NES because they didn't offer these things. Every parent knows to buy their children Nintendo systems because Nintendo portrays themselves as a family friendly corporation for the most part, and conservative moral gamers buy their systems because they know that too.

Also, they do let some things slip in from time to time. In fact, I won't name the game, but they actually were noted for allowing more inappropriate content in a game on the GC than Sony did in the same game on PS2. And they even had one GC game that was recalled because the content was deemed illegal.

But as I said, Nintendo's approach to games is what gives them their appeal to pretty much everyone who buys their systems. And offering this type of different content, they have no opponents, so why would they want to try to steal Sony and Microsoft's fans anyway? Bad business. And honestly, I think Nintendo's approach has been more true to gaming's roots and kept it what it was meant to be. I have an immense amount of respect for them for that.


However, it's all opinions, I suppose. I did agree with many other points you made though. I also think the GC was one of the best systems they ever made, rivaled only by the N64.
