This is one amazing artist. She takes a violin, and then does cover songs, and they are pretty good. Sometimes, they are even better than some of the originals. 

She even does themes. I know that she has done Skyrim, Legend of Zelda, and I believe she has done a Star Wars themed piece as well. 

As far as I am aware, she first came onto the scene in Season 5 of America's Got Talent, where she made it to the final 4, if I am not mistaken. 

Shortly after her being eliminated from America's Got Talent, Devin Graham ( YouTube name of : DevinSuperTramp ) contacted her in hopes of making a YouTube video together. Lindsey agreed to  shoot a music video for her song, "Spontaneous Me". The video immediately helped her popularity skyrocket, so she decided to continue to make music videos for her YouTube channel regularly. Devin usually films her videos for her, and in return, she does some background stuff for him. 

Stirling's YouTube channel,  Lindseystomp, was created in 2007.

Since her showing on America's Got Talent, her channel gained so much popularity that she also created a second YouTube channel, LindseyTime. While the LindseyTime channel does not have any music, it has some videos that I enjoy watching. She talks about her life, among other things. 

Something I have noticed is that she is huge on video games. 

If you like unique music, people who do covers, or just instrumentals, then I definitely recommend her. Give her a few views, and then tell me what you think.

thing1 : I think she is amazing, I heard about her for the first time about 2 months ago when I listened to the Pokemon song and I loved it, I also really love some of the others such as the Skyrim one, I love her work.

OK OK, to be honest, I love much more than that about her. She has such a cheerful personality and her videos are a blast to watch and listen to. And I am SO glad she is big on video games. Another favorite Youtuber of mine, Smooth McGroove, is all about video games. I watch each of his new videos every time they come out, although I don't know I can say I've seen every one of his acapellas. He, Sterling, and others have made Youtube a much more wonderful place to visit.

I don't like Youtube much, but I like some of what I see on Youtube.

She's not bad, cute too but in all honesty I am eternally irritated that she removed the drum track that was the heart of Gerudo Valley's theme, it's bugged me since the first time I heard it , that being said I think there is one other song of hers I don't like but the song itself eludes me, other than that I think she's amazing and I love that she plays string & bow which are always nice.

Oh, and Xeldorf wants me to make sure I tell you that he hates her guts for some reason or another. Pessimistic fool I say.

My ex introduced me to Lindsey Stirling and her music is definitely pretty great. A similar artist that I listened to before I knew about Lindsey Stirling is Vanessa Mae.

Lindsey Stirling is a GREAT youtube artist! She even does concerts in Germany, France and several other places. She tours the world in other words... Not to mention that she did a music video with the Piano Guys! I haven't listened to all of her songs, but I do like the ones I have seen.

darthyoda : I really want Lindsey Stirling to come to Washington State. If she did, she'd probably perform in Seattle or Tacoma, and not the Gorge, but still. That being said, I would not mind seeing her in concert. 

I am sure that I have already told you this Caleb, but she is one of my favorite artists ever! I absolutely love watching her videos, my favorite music video of hers being "Shadows." Man can that girl dance, too!

My wife first told me about her, and my initial thought when she told me she played the violin was "Oh great...here we go with more boring music." Obviously, I was VERY wrong. She takes dubstep to a whole new level! One of my life's goals is to go to a concert of hers.

On a side note, I've seen her do some videos with a group called Pentatonix. I seem to like them, too. I'm trying to get into dubstep style music more and more each day, and its all because of Lindsey Stirling.

I think that she is amazing! Although some of her new songs on her Shatter Me album sound similar to each other, she's actually really good. 

I love how she uses her talent in a way nobody really expects. Her music expresses her individuality as well as her personality. It's just makes you want to get up and dance and just express yourself as well. 

Edit: I thought I had heard her stuff before. I haven't yet. Anyone that tries video game music is worth a listen in my book!
