Good morning,afternoon,or evening fellow Otakus.I am here yet again to bring you 20 more fun facts about Anime and Manga.

1.Did you know that Misa from Death Note was created long before the idea of Death Note even came about? She was originally going to have her own series with her own Shinigami,Rem.Not many details have been revealed about it,but many people suspect it would have been a sort of "Slice of life" comedy.

This took writer Kouta Hirano 4 weeks to finish.He said he wanted to make it,Quote on Quoute "Insane and Intimidating as possible."

3.Atsushi Okubo's (The creator of the soul eater manga) Favorite character of all time is,Hellboy-from the Hellboy comics.

4.The 13'th Opening to Naruto Shippuden took over 3-4 months to make,compared to the usual time of around 1-3 month,this was due to the fast paced animation used in the opening,and particle effects that are seen in the back round if you look hard enough.But its not just that.The music took a long time to record as well,this was do to issues with the band.

5.Shonen Jump has never revealed how much money it has made overall.But based on the amount of stuff sold all around the world,it is estimated to be close to,if not a billion dollars.

6.In the Soul Eater Manga,the final antagonist Asura says "Peace is a lie,there is only madness." This is a direct reference to the Sith code of honor in stars wars.

7.Freiza is the 3rd most popular character in Dragon ball z,the only two that beat him are Vegeta,and Goku.

8.Sebastion from Black Butler was created when Yana Toboso (The writer of Black Butler) Was a child.She claims he was her "Imaginary friend." and she thought of him as "Her personal version of a knight in shining armor."

9.The popular mech anime Neon Genesis Evangelion,was created when the writer was extremely depressed.That explains alot...

10.Shonen jump did some brief marketing materiel for the video game Titanfall in japan.There were special addition volumes of Attack on Titan,where the cover featured the mechs from Titan Fall helping the humans fight the Titans.The story did not change though.

11.Naruto was originally a Japanese comic strip that appeared in news papers in japan,the comic followed the ninja Naruto's day to day life.

12.Elfen Lied was originally going to be a..Ahem,Hentai.*If i am not banned on this site after this,i can do anything.*

13.Orochimaru literally translates into "Snake in the grass." Well thats just one of the translations.

14.Death Note Volumes were banned in certain parts of italy for a bit of a long time.Why? Well if you look in the backround of all of the Death Note volumes (excluding omnibus editions),they display a cross in the backround.You know,Jesus Christ cross.This goes against some cultural rules.This outlaw of volumes has been lifted,but the cross was removed.I don't understand why they would really outlaw the books in the first place.The cross is meant to symbolise Lights obsession with becoming god.And being a messiah like figure.Eh,at least the law has been lifted.

15.XXX holic has a strong element of addiction in it,because the writer was an alcoholic at the time of writing it.

16.Teresa was originally going to be the main character in the claymore Manga,and Anime.

17.Devil May Cry has a brief 4 volume manga series,that covers some of the events before Devil May Cry 3.Only 2 have ever been released in english.You can pick them up right now from Amazon for under 10 bucks to...I really hope this does not count as spam..

18.On April fools day an Anime magazine in japan did a review on the Harem series known as School Days,and gave it a 10/10..If you have seen school days,you know why that is extremely funny.

19.Sake is a popular alchoholic Japanese beverage,and despite popular belief,its not all that strong.It only contains about 8-15% of alchohol.It would also take about 9-14 shots for someone to get intoxicated by it.So all those Animes are lying to yah kids..

20.In Code Geass Lelouch goes by the name "Lelouch Lamperouge" The Lamperouge at the end translates into..Well nothing actually.

Its a completely made up word.The writer thought of the word as a child,and said Quote on Quote "It sounded like the name of a cool car when i was a kid,and its catchy."

relinquish022 : Wait... Naruto was a comic before it was a manga? That is hard to believe. And I consider myself a fan on a religious level of Naruto.

And for the 6 months thing, I don't know about that. I just watched it on YouTube... that doesn't seem likely. The band thing seems likely, so if you are talking overall, then yeah, I could get that. But the visual effects of the opening video? Are you serious that they did that much to them?

thing1 : Well you are right about the opening,that was a typo.It actually took 3-4 months,i'll be sure to edit that.But yes,Naruto was originally a comic strip,for about 8 months at least.I believe it even says so in the some volumes of the manga.Then again..Alot of my volumes are in Japanese..
