IN Star Fox 64,and in other titles, Fox has allies who will help him take down foes. . . and constantly ask for assistance.

And it can be annoying to some players! It's like in some levels that they are DOOMED to need assistance, all at the same time!

One time at Bolse, I was trying to hunt down Leon after having shot down Wolf, but as I flew over in that Direction, Falco was flying back over towards me, I saw Leon's smoking Wolfen tumble and crash on the satelite and blow up.

Falco radioed this message to me:

"I got the last one, let's go!!"

Have your allies ever actually saved YOUR neck before, or made a mission smooth sailing?

One time my allies ended up taking down both Leon and Wolf though I am still unsure if they actually did kill wolf or not as there was multiple lasers being fired at once. I had the sound of my TV turned off and I never paid attention to what my comrades said so I will never know.

My team is generally unhelpful. Except for twice, once in Finchia, Peppy took down one of the Star Wolf crew (I forgot which one).
Then another was when Slippy or Falco took down Pigma, the biggest scumbag in the series, in Venom. Which was extremely helpful since I was having trouble with them on that time.

I was actually proud of my team that day.

Star Wolf: So lame that they get taken down by members other than fox.

In Macbeth Falco and Kat help shoot some switches to let you focus on other ones, and you all know you've slipped up in Macbeth plenty of times.

They were nice to have on Macbeth though, in fact, I think that Falco is actually quite capable of taking care of himself, in fact, he even has a quipe:

"I'll cover you Fox!"

at Bolse satellite defense.

I mean, he's like, NAILING those ships at Katina compared to everyone else, and hey, he has double lasers+ (almost) infinite Health. I did shoot him down finally though after several attacks, I think that it took about 8 minutes of shooting at him though, I'm just guessing that Nintendo gave him max health and left it at that. (255?)

He'll still radio in commands to his team though, even if you do "kill" him.

And apparently a spare plane or a really fast repair man since he shows up in the next level.

Yeah, I've had that epic feeling before. I didn't know that they were any use at all at Venom though! Thanks for telling me that!

In the "rails shooter" levels' their AI is pretty bad, but the 3d all range missions up their performance extravagantly.

To be honest, Fox really shouldn't be shooting down 150 ships in some levels while Falco only get's one.

How bout 11, or 12 Falco? They're just dumb drones.

One time, I never attack Star Wolf's team on Fincha- unless they attacked my allies, just so that they would survive, and I could kill them all at Bolse and get more points there for the medal.

The problem?

I played "protect the pancake" so well, that my allies ended up shooting every one of them down, save Wolf, whom I accidentally took out myself.

Oh well.

The few times that I have ever played Star Fox ( always Star Fox 64 ), my team mates have done nothing for me except yell at me when I do not kill something in time.

The rest of team , Bill Grey & Katt Monroe are helpfull. On Zonnes Falco is shooting the last target. And Katt is doing the same thing with the 1st ones.  On Bolse Slippy , Falco & Peppy  are shooting the enemys. There are other places where they're  helpfull.

The only thing that any of my teammates have ever done for me is Slippy toad always knows how to annoy me... BY USING IT'S ANNOYING VOICE! (Seriously though does anyone know what gender Slippy is?)

My teammates in star fox 64 were annoying, they were practically useless at first and Peppy always brings up Fox's dead father.

Peppy Hare: You're becoming more like your father.
“Follow in your Father’s example, Fox.”
"I see your Father in you, Fox."
“This brings back memories of your Dad!”
"Your Father helped me like that too!"

That is being somewhat of a d*ck
