So far, this forum only had one small competition for reviews and that was it. I figured we should wait until the forum ages a bit before hosting a major contest and I thought now would be a good time, so for the last 2 weeks I have been putting together a major forum contest. The contest is one day only and will take place sometime next month. The day will be full of big events which will be talked about later, but for now I wanted to discuss one of the events which may be a tf2 contest.


Would a short tf2 contest be a good idea for this day? What are some suggestions on how to organize the contest? Right now I expect that I will need about 1 or 2 helpers to operate the tournament and to set it up and keep track and I think there might be a top prize of 10000 Viz.

vanelan : Do you have any suggestions? Is the server still up, and do you think you can be a part of the tourney?

Honestly, I am not real big on TF2. I would probably be more supportive of some XBOX 360 games honestly. Maybe, if I had a laptop that wasn't a piece of crap, I would be more open to TF2 and I would try it more. But if you want something computer based... I'd more than down for Mario Kart 64.

I'm not opposed to the idea of a TF2 tourney, but I couldn't compete. My mother has a thing against shooters, and I definitely couldn't do it when my bro was around (which is most of the time).

An idea is to maybe do a Castle Crashers or Battleblock Theater themed tourney or co-op. I feel that a lot of people would have those games, since they went for dirt cheap during the Summer Sale. However, I realize that you don't have those games. I think sonic has a spare copy of Castle Crashers, though.

Does anyone else here have one or both of those games? I'm just putting the idea out there for now, wanna see what you guys think first and what Zander thinks.

I'll be honest I've played tf2 for probably 2 hours tops and then i still was messing around with friends. It's a good idea personally and I'd be up for it just for the sake of having a laugh

As for ideas,

Mario Kart 64: Is more laggy than pretty much any pc game on steam i can think of, if you pick to do this i cannot play simple as that.. The joys of being from Europe, plus it's the steam forum..

Castle Crashers: I do have 3 copies of the game to sell, but i won't  give them out for free.. No offence but i rarely buy games for my friends I've known for years, never mind people that i barely know...
