This is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyways.

Does a game character constitute as ANY character with a name?  Or are we talking about established characters that have a whole story/ game series/ following?  I'd assume the latter, because it will get quite ridiculous, otherwise.

For example, this is a REALLY bad shot, but let's say I took this screenshot:


It would be rather pointless to create a page for "Burn" and "Keith", right?

Davideo7: It means when I drop down the list of franchises to choose from, Yu-Gi-Oh does not show up.
I also had a problem with adding a character. The character was added, which was George "The Animal" Steele, and is able to be selected for the screenshot, but the screenshot will not let me add him.

There's currently an issue with names that have single quotes or double quotes, I'll work on getting that fixed.

I got apostrophes to work in character names by typing the html code for an apostrophe (which you should be able to find if you google it. . .). Not the most convenient solution, but it works.

Singelli : That's actually something I've been wanting to do for a while. Done. The screenshots area now lets you scroll through pages with 250 screenshots per a page. I also plan to go through all of my old screenshots and title them, describe them and tag characters in them.

Fireproof : It's very easy to detect abuse so if someone does do something like that, they'd be disqualified. It's a necessary rule to make sure users aren't cheating the competition by submitting crappy screenshots. I don't understand why you're freaking out so badly over this, you haven't even been affected.

Davideo7 : I'm not freaking out, the ? is a glitch when I post on here, it shows in a post as a black box around the question mark usually when I press space multiple times. It seems to be worse when I attempt to edit posts and I know for certain i am not the only user who has this glitch. I believe if you were to edit my previous post it should show to you as black boxed question marks. I never added those to my post. I don't even know how to add those to be honest.

mourinhosgum : Characters on cards do count. Ports count only if they game is different enough. Super Mario Bros deluxe is different enough to count as another game. That game has a lot of nice graphics of the characters as part of the added features.

Davideo7 : What about the mario advanced games.  I could easily get almost 100 screenshots with one of them. SMW Advanced lets you switch characters and when you get hit when you have a power up you turn into big mario unlike the original.

I have done a few ports that would likely not be considered different. If that is the case, would that put me down for a DQ if there were too many characters added? Might be time consuming to look through them all and make decisions on which ones count and which ones don't.
