I've had a lot of cheap deaths in video games. Most of them are just stupid little mistakes or because I'm not paying attention. The most recent one was last night. I was playing Tomb Raider, and there was some salvage on a high ledge. I jumped onto the narrow ledge to collect it and Lara just sort of slowly slid off the edge to her death. lol

Everybody experienced millions of stupid mistakes-like deaths, but what's even rare are these deaths when you and the boss that's been raging you for the several hours have one hit left to die....then you get rushy/greedy and try to land the final hit but do a stupid mistake that ends you up getting hit, then you want to kill yourself after that.

I've just remembered a game I played called Destroy The Porn. This story will require a little background. Basically, you've died and gone to Hell, whereupon you realize that your mom is going to go through your stuff and find a torrent of pornography. For the sake of your mother, you go through Hell's labyrinth to return to Earth and destroy all of the porn before she finds it.

At the end of the game, there's a level full of boxes that you have to destroy within the time limit. It's really not that hard; you just walk forward and hold the fire button. Or at least that's what I thought, until my character managed to get under a falling box.

It's the only video game in which I can say I was literally killed by falling porn.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, I was in the middle of the sea I was low on health and saw a heart far but since I had my boat I had nothing to fear, I got the heart but then there was problem... the boat glitched out I pressed the button to get on as many times as possible ended up drowning.

In the older versions of Minecraft, if you right click the bed while you're sleeping, you'll wake up in the middle of the night. However, walking into walls will hurt you. Well, I did that with around one heart. I walked into a wall and died.

I have had 3 cheap deaths in video games

The first one would be in Mega Man 7. I had just killed Freeze Man and I was glad but right before I killed him he fired his ice weapon. His Ice weapon hit me thus killing me too. It was my last life so I got game over and had to do the Freeze Man stage all over again as well as the battle.

Second, was in Mega Man V. Ever had that feeling you get when you beat a game? I had that feeling I had just killed Sunstar the final boss in Mega Man V. But before I killed him he fired his laser attack. His laser attack did a lot of damage. Basically I died too and thus it did not count as beating the game. I guess you can say Sunstar took me down with him

Finally, In Yoshi's Island. I have never had this to happen to me before. During one of the stages I had to go across bomb platforms that explode when the number on them reaches 0. These had a number 1 on them. In the meantime there was this boulder that would run down the hill. The boulder is supposed to be used to quickly jump and get an item. However, I missed the rock and fell into the water. the Rock landed on top of me thus I ended up getting pinned and died. I had never had that happened before. I have played that game several times and have not had that happen to me again.

I was playing The Amazing Spiderman tie in game and I was at the bit where you are trying to get away from Smythe's robots as Peter has lost his powers. I was doing fine till suddenly I got stuck walking on the floor and he then fell through the floor. The game took a while to register it as a death and I was quite annoyed so I ejected the game out of my Xbox and ended up playing Pokemon Black 2 for the rest of the day.

   I remember one time while playing Mine craft (great game, by the way) I was mining for diamonds.I found this lava pit and diamonds nearby. I put some cobblestone and started shifting toward the diamonds.. After I got the diamonds, I walked back on my path I built and I wasn't looking where I was going and fell into A ONE BLOCK HOLE OF LAVA.  It was very pathetic, for sure. That, and the fact that I brought all my swords and picks, while bringing 75% of all the ore and food I had at my house. That was just sad. so very sad.

And then there's shadow the hedgehog. The homing attack in that game is soooo AWFUL. The homing attack is supposed to, well, home in on enemies. However in Last Story there's a place where you're supposed to use the homing attack to cross a gap. Sounds simple, right? Well it would've been, if the homing attack actually did what it was supposed to instead of shooting me RIGHT PAST THE ENEMIES and into the bottomless pit. It actually got me a game over too.

The cheapest death that I can remember at the moment so far is recently in Smite. I was trying to kill this player and then suddenly I get ganged up by getting stunned, chained, and got hit from all directions. Not to mention that the player I almost killed, had a healing ability before I ended up in that disaster.
