I think the coolest looking Pokemon from the Gameboy games is Seadra. It's like a magical and better upgraded version of a sea horse but I like how it is designed especially for the design. It looks pretty fierce as a Gameboy game sprite.

jyounger : Oh man, he is awesome. I can not remember what version it was, but I do remember it was a Game Boy Color one. I picked Squirtle as my started over everybody else, and eventually evolved him to a Blastroise. Now that is one epic looking Pokemon in sprite form.

Dudes, you got it all wrong. In red and blue, Blastoise is fat and Charizard looks weird(better in Yellow). Obviously, packed in with its awesome cry, it's Nidoking. I'm not sure about Dragonite, and mew has a pretty simple sprite.

I loved how Golem looked, it was a strong and good looking design. Some Pokémon were awful but Geodude was pretty funny in my opinion, and Paras was good as well.
