It doesn't have to be limited to just this forum; basically, I'm talking about all forums in general that you go on.

I'd have to choose "great". I don't go crazy over a spelling mistake, but I do fix it. I've been told that I use way too many commas, which may be correct, but I guess that's just my style of grammar. Also, I do use this type of grammar in chatrooms, as well. It's just how I am.

But... I really hope you don't happen to choose one of the very last ones, especially using only smilies.

I tend to be overly anal about my spelling and grammar online. I feel like if you are too lazy to spell and construct sentences correctly then you will lose the ability to do so. Many of us on this board spend a fair bit of time here and it's interesting to see how many people spell as badly as they do.

There should almost be a spell checker implemented on the board so that some people could be better understood

i spell everything out completely, and i never, ever spell anything incorrectly, but i rarely use the shift key. i dont usually punctuate either, but i do sometimes ^^ i guess i have to vote 'shift takes too much time'

both firefox and chrome have automatic spell checkers, but IE doesnt. its annoying.. its always telling me im spelling stuff wrong because i never punctuate lol.

It helps when I actually have to write a paper, because then I don't have to concentrate on actually using a real language. It's extremely lazy to not even bother to use punctuation at the end of a sentence, and the tendancy to string together about 16 letters and say that it abbreviates a whole sentence is completely idiotic.

Actually, with some of the grammatical mistakes Internet people are infamous for, I find it actually difficult to make mistakes as stupid as some people do. My seven-year-old brother uses better grammar than some of the "English teachers at MIT" who post on the Interwebs.
