OK  here is a what I think good idea for a Pokémon anime
work in progress name: poke wars
the main gimmick is poke armor where instead of getting 6 Pokémon fighting against each other its you and some of your allies only have 1 poke armor with stats similar to that Pokémon 
good guys: Shadow, use absol poke armor, plans ahead, calm, resourceful
                 (doesn't have a name yet), uses gardevoir armor, (still working on personality)
                  (also doesn't have a name yet) , (still working this out either primeape or infernape),kind of the opposite of shadow but they're good                       friends
bad guys: rattata soldiers,grunts of the group
                  (DHN) uses gastly but evolves into haunter, usually is the one shadow and them fight with...
                   (DHN) uses dusknoir but like ^ he evolves into duskclops
                    (DHN) the leader who uses MEWTWO!
                     (DHN) the leader's right hand man who uses darkrai

The Idea isn't bad.
but it's to weak. It has no background story, history of any? individual
It lacks information. It's a bit of a strange idea wearing Pok?mon looking armour. I mean. I never want to wear a jinx armour to be honest .
I do think you kind of rushed your idea. You should have given all characters a good name, background story, personality.
the amount of characters is also pretty poor. I miss some gym leaders
I also have the strange urge to think about war when people are wearing "armour" So the story could be played in the past when pokemon and humanity lived together in peace. While the bad guys uses the Pok?mon to fight.
The good people uses Pok?mon like armour and weaponry to fight the bad guys.
Yes, indeed. They are attacking the Pok?mon. But they are doing this against their wills in order to protect the world for more harm
Meanwhile the leader of these bad guys seems to have some special psychic powers that can control the minds of Pok?mon. Thus making them attack humans or other Pok?mon. I think mewtwo should be kept out of this story, because mewtwo is actually a science created Pok?mon. ( that is if this idea sounds good enough to you of course)

Now. That's just the start then. Let's go to some characters:
Shadow: A quiet intelligent young men of the age of 15. He has a silent personality and likes to be by himself.
The young man befriended a wild Absol on a age of 4 years. When they both were young creatures. And at the age of 13 he decided to fight in the war against the bad guys. Making a absol like set of armour with obsidian like claws.

Angelica: A young maiden that lives in a rich household. She has been adopted by a rich family when her parent died at a age of 5. She never had friends and never visited the outside world because she always has to clean. Even through this, she has a cheerful, and hopeful personality. At the age of 6, she found a poke egg. She decided to hatch it. And it hatched a Ralts. They've grown a strong bond with each other. When she noticed the strange behavior of wild Pok?mon fighting each other and attack humans, she decided to join in the war. Together with the help of gardevoir, she created gardevoir like robes. Gardevoir lend ed some of her own psychic powers to empower? angelica's robes. She is able to use strong psychic attacks.

Bruce: A young men at the age of 18 with incredible physical strength. He started training martial art at a age of 4. And during his training, he met a young tyrouge. Together they trained each other to the upper limits. Bruce's personality is rather impulsive, and hard headed. He has a strong sense of justice. And helps building houses in hit village. When Bruce was at a age of 8. His dear training buddy/friend got attacked by a horde of rattatas. Tyrogue was badly wounded. And Bruce decided to take revenge. He make himself a Black belt, and a karate set of clothing's. He made a armless jacked, and loose leg parts that are actually made out of thin osmium plates. And it;s really heavy. But doesn't stop him from moving. After he took revenge. He trained again with Tyrogue, and after 2 long training years, tyrogue evolved into hitmonlee. At the same time they noticed the amount of wild Pok?mon attacks on the villages. And started to join in the war.

bad guys:
Rattata soldiers: A group of kids that have been hypnotized and are being controlled for evil deeds. They wear weak Rattata like armour that is made out of recycled and resmolted metal from old trash and broken weapons. They are often really kind children. But because they're under control, they are mad killing machines.

Eldric: is a middle age men with the age of 22. He is also hypnotized by the mastermind behind the evil deeds. He rides a gigantic overgrown raticate. And wears a raticate like set of scout clothing. He uses dual daggers, and is a master at mounting wild animals/Pok?mon. At the age of 2. Both his parents were killed by one of the master mind's right hands. And was hypnotized shortly after. Making him a emotionless blood shredder.

Miss, lizzbethe: the right hand and wife of the evil mastermind. She has a rather careful personality although being one of the bad guys.
She isn't hypnotized, nor she follows her husband's orders. She is rather harmless. But hates Pok?mon. The reason behind he hatred is unknown. She is a mysterious woman that befriended a female banette. Both, the banette lost her precious friend. And miss,lizzbethe lost her parents at the same time. Banette's precious friend was killed by mankind. And miss lizzbethe's parents were killed by Pok?mon. Thus making their bond extremely powerful. Neither miss Lizzbethe, or her befriended banette are fighting in this war. But she is desperate to protect her husband.

Tiny tobi: Tiny tobi is the son of miss lizzbetthe and the evil mastermind. He is a really adorable looking little child with big eyes. But he is cruel and brute. At the age of 2. He guttered a pact of rattata for his own amusement. Because of his dark personality. A Oddly shiny duskclops took the liking on him and become good friends with Tiny tobi.

Samuel AKA The mastermind: Samuel is a older man at the age of 34. He lost both his parents in a war about joining lives with Pok?mon. At his age, it wasn't normal to normally interact with Pok?mon. The war caused a lot of trouble in his childhood. And his dad was slaughtered by human? hands. And his mother's life was token by a pact of sableyes. At the age of 11. He met a strange looking Pok?mon. This Pok?mon called himself Darkrai. They both had a grudge against humanity. And both decided to cooperate to exterminate both Pok?mon, and humankind. To start a new world where Pok?mon and human are separated. Samuel is similar to darkrai a extremely powerful being. He was born with incredible psychic powers. And later decided to use this in his own advantage against human kind, and Pok?mon's. He isn't evil minded that much though, he loves his son Tiny tobi, and also loves his dear wife Mizz, lizzbethe. But this doesn't stop him from acting evil, and wanting to destroy the world of both Pok?mon, and humans.

This is just a small example of course and just a small start. I hope you liked it :late38

Wow that's really good! But for Bruce's Pokémon I didn't want him to have the hitmon brothers (as I like to call them), because I was planning on him to return to his dojo being challenged by two black belts (who are actually twins) who use the hitmon brothers and his former master who uses machamp. However I think that the others are really good. I forgot to mention this earlier, but mega evolution will be in the story. 

If you didn't like hitmonlee on Bruce how about Pancham and Pangoro?
Then Bruce should have a pancham in his childhood. And will now have a pangoro, still wearing the same kind of armour. But using a bamboo stick as a weapon.  So, how do you want  the twins to be in person?

You want a twin that are always fighting, or that are always friendly with each other?
What kind of personality would the former dojo master have? Is he a thrasher, someone who always showing off his powers. Or is he a well disciplined man with honor? Such personalities are important to choose

Now Since this is still your story, I won't harm the dojo idea.
Now, do you have any other ideas you would like to add to your story? Like the mega evolution part: Will it be the same like giving a to a Pokémon? Or would you prefer have mega armour: Armour made out of gemstones ( the mega evolution stones) It's your story of course But it's important to decide such small details Would you like to add fusion options? Like Pokémon and human fusing, or just fused armour? Or Pokémon fusing? I don't know if that would be a smart idea but hey , it's your story so you decide about it.

So, I mentioned I kind of messed up the hypnotizing part in the story I gave you. Because it first tells that it controls Pokémon. And at the other part it tells it controls children. So let's  Fuse it. He controls children that wields clothing's made out of killed rattatas. This might sound brute. But it I think is has something pretty good.

So, how do you want the story to start? Which of the characters will be introduced first? And when will they meet each other.
Do you want a more detailed background story for each character?  I don't mind trying to think of some deeper background stories. So if you want that. Then I can give some. I do want to know what time period you would like this to be in. Do you want this to be played in daily time period so 21th century, Or in medieval? ( around 12th century.) Because that confuses me a little bit

I won't be logging in into Vizzed daily. So I might not always response to your thread with idea but I will try to check it now and then to see how this story is improving !

For the twins kinda both. The dojo master is well disciplined. For mega evolution the armor will have a mega stone imbued and they will have a mega ring. I'm kinda going with what funimation did with soul eater 1st shadow 2nd angelica 3rd Bruce. They will become a team when the commander assigns them to a city called oak town (see what I did there) with 3 mentors who are trained veterans who use the 3 Kanto starters. And yea I think there could be a deeper background story like Shadow's mom died due to a strange illness when he was young (the absol that met him was trying to warn him). I kinda want it to kinda be a mix of both the medieval and current time. And thanks so much for helping out with this if this idea ever takes off ill be sure to give you a character to play if you would like. Thanks again, late38

late38 : what I want in a Pokemon anime is this: Some bad guys which don't have Pokemon but they are very strong. (Example Axem ranger Red). More romance. I WANT MORE ROMANCE . Perhaps Saturn will marry Mars!

Um  okay there was going to be a relationship between shadow and angelica but.... 1 axem rangers were super Mario rpg. 2 any person who is in the war must have a poke armor to defend themselves oh and saturn is mars grand father in mythology

I don't dislike the idea, but I think if developed further it can be an amazing work of a plot. The pokemon armor can't understand the concept that well would like a better explanation about Pokemon ended up like that. Suggestion: Something like a device created to fuse with your pokemon for a certain period of time due to the increased power of the pokemon being one with the trainer/user. This would probably add a little more suspense to your battles that way it doesn't just require pure power but also strategy in battles (make it more unique). 
   
The characters, just like Yngwie said you need more characters and I would reccomend more parties in the  conflict that way is not your typical 1v1 war and there can be more twists plots alliances and such. The characters well develop some characters and decide their role, is it going to be companion of the protagonist(s) or the antagonist(s) who will be the mastermind like the top guys that are supposed to be all powerful, you shouldn't limit the number of these maybe later on the story add more powerful beings. And maybe "Legendary beings (people that are above the power level of most character's in the series like "(insert cool name)" only known user of a Lucario etc) and random solo"ers" that areunexpectedly overpowered. 

Background Story: Well give a lot of background story if you can do so, it never hurts to have a knowledge base about a fictional world and it makes future fanboys/girls happy, Background and the deepness of a plot is one of the main key things I look for in a story. Make it so that it can explain the grudge between these different groups. Add flashbacks to how the groups were formed, focus on individual characters if you'd like. 

Hopefully this will help you get some ideas (are you going to write like a book or fanfic first about it if so would gladly read it andgive you my thoughts about it.
