I basically need to know how fast the board usually loads for you, at any time of the day. This will help determine whether I get a new server next week or not (it'd be more expensive but far more powerful).

Also note that I mean lately, like in the past few days.

it's not as fast as it used to be... but it's gotten a lot faster since the upgrade and any other changes that might have happened.

I wouldn't mind if it got faster though. I've got a pretty quick connection so it has got to be slow for some people.

The current server is $115 per a month but upgrading would make costs at $175 a month so I'm sorta thinking that maybe I'll switch back down to a Virtual Dedicated Server (at $50 a month) which we had a month ago and find a separate host to host the big files of the site (like the roms in game room).

The biggest concern is expense. I'll definitely make enough on ads to pay for these costs but I just recently put up the google adsense ads and it'll be a while before I get a check from Google.

It's been going great for me ever since the most recent upgrade.
I have slow patches but it is always my computer so not actualy vizzed's fault.
I don't mind if you do the thing with hosting the roms on another site. As long as it doesn't take vizzed back to the stage it used to be at with all the crashes.

The amounts of games and such slow the board down considerably.

To be honest, I really think someone is intentionally draining either our bandwidth and/or the CPU, probably either a competition of the site or someone who has a grudge on the site. There's no reason why the site should be this slow right now and it wasn't when I first got the new server. But anyways, I'll be getting a new server with better CPU and about the same RAM (but it'll have RAM upgradeable to 4 GB incase that is needed at a later time). New server should be up by Monday.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
