Seeing so many forums being auctioned with such violent bidding wars sicken me.

mrfe : I'm 95% sure that if the owner of the forum goes inactive, then it can be passed down to one of the mods of that forum. Usually the most active one of them. If there is another mod still active and available to contact, then I'd suggest talking with him about what to do with this forum first. And if the owner is still available to contact, then you should ask him about this forum. If not, then I think it might be yours, but I'm not 100% sure. 

This is just based off of my experience with my rented forum, so I could be wrong. And no, I don't plan on bidding for a forum.

Seeing myself as a Mod of this forum, I feel I have a right to give my saying about this:

As of recently I've been feeling better to come back to here, and today I even feel inspired to do a new tournament, probably won't last for long, but I'm afraid that for this instance, I disagree with the auction of this forum.

And honestly, there shouldn't be this thing of owner or not, it's a shared job, all of the mods in this forum have power, so we shouldn't focus on one exclusive owner, let's not think of only one leader, but as a team, we mods all own this forum, so we have to think about this forum as a team, we have 4 mods, but 1 is inactive since April, so we have 1/3 of ownership of the forum, but including all of us, it's 1/4.

Even if I disagree, if the other 2 mods agree on auctioning the forum, I have to go with their choice.
