I usually get out in late June early July as I get 6 weeks off and I get 7 every 4 years. I usually come back in August. Universities and colleges end in May and come back in late September here.

Every year, my school lets us out in early June, usually in the first week of school. This year, they managed to find ways to keep it that way due to all the snow days that occurred. I end up having summer break for the rest of June, all of July and most of August every year, and I always go back to school on the last week of August.

When I was a kid in the 70's school ended around the last week of May and started the day after Labor day. Through the years the vacation time has gotten substantially shorter. Now my 10 year old gets out the last week of May and goes back the first week of August. My other two daughters (both older, one is 23 the other is 21) had different times they got off too.

In the past, my school has usually gotten out in May. Last year though, we ended up getting out early June... It sucks, but I guess that's what we get for starting school a little bit later. Since my dad was in the military, we did a lot of moving around and I experienced all kinds of school-end dates.  I'd HATE to end school in the middle of June or last week of June. I hope all you kiddies start school later in the year than those of us who get out earlier.  Where I work, we usually get out the last couple of days in May, or the first few in June.  We usually come back the first week or two in August.
