What you do in this thread is name 2 videogame characters with some sort of similarity that you want to see fight each other. The next poster then says who they think would win in that fight, the post their own fight. I'll start with a battle between Silver the Hedgehog and Alakazam. Now the next user says who they think will win and why. Then, they'd post their own battle, and the cycle would continue on.

Tricky... I'd like to say Alakazam without the blink of an eye, but I have to check some information first.

Both Silver and Alakazam have similar powers to an extent. Silver's main power is Psychokinesis, which is something that Alakazam can do too. Not only that, but based on Bulbapedia: "Alakazam is able to use all forms of Psychic abilities", which means that Alakazam could have even more power than what it looks. But Silver can project pure Psychic energy, but Psychic vs Psychic is not very effective, so Alakazam gets the upper hand.
But apparently, Silver can go on a physical hand-to-hand combat; something that Alakazam can't do.
Alakazam has a Mega Evolution, to make him more powerful. But Silver can enter a Super State, which he's virtually invincible. While I'm kinda divided, I'd say Alakazam for one reason: "If Silver overuses his psychokinesis, Silver can become extremely fatigued." 
There's nothing like that for Alakazam, so i'm going ahead and say Alakazam ^^

Here's next: Link vs Bowser

As a reference for other users, I meant similar in powers and abilities. Well, since I posted, I've got to answer. For me, it makes sense that Link would win, since he kills giant monsters all the time. Plus, if Bowser can get beat be a fat Italian plumber, he can easily get beaten by a swordsman.
