I usually use HM slaves, but I usually respect them at least somewhat. Like I'll evolve them & might even level them a little. Like as an example in X I used a Bunnelby for most of my HMs, I evolved Bunnelby & when I got to the Pokémon League he was in the late 50s or early 60s if I recall.

I don't know whether what I do qualifies as using an HM slave or not. I spread out my HMs over two pokemon, typically a fighting type and a water type. Although the majority of their moves are HMs, I still train them up and use them in battle. They do prove to be very useful.

On other occasions, I evenly spread them amongst my pokemon, although most times I use the above method.

The most HM's I have used on a Pokemon was 3. I put HM's on at least 3 of the Pokemon in my main party and after I beat the game I make them forget the HM's and replace it with better moves.

I actually typically do not. I know I should, but I'm too lazy to keep switching back and forth between my main team and my travel team. HM slaves also soak up experience points that your main team could be getting. To solve this, I typically choose the water starter. They can learn a lot of powerful and effective HM's.

I don't usually have Pokémon as HM slaves but when I need to I have to do it. In Pokémon Emerald my Swampert had Surf, Strength, and Waterfall, plus It had Earthquake.

Well, I have a few in some games but overall I like to give one of the Pokémon I regularly use a HM as most HMs are very strong and useful and then I have those Pokémon with me in emergency cases.

Actually, no, I do not. I only try to use an HM or a TM on a Pokemon if I know I am going to keep it, and am going to need to use that move eventually. I also generally wait until it's final evolution if possible.

I have only used an HM slave once. That was in Pokemon Ruby. No, it was not Zigzagoon, the most common HM slave ever. It was actually Gyarados, believe it or not. I did not make him an HM slave on purpose, it just kinda happened. I taught him Surf, Waterfall, Dive, and another HM. I think it was Strength. Other than that though, I do not use HM slaves. I like to just teach an HM or two to my regular Pokemon. It is a waste of a space to have a crappy Pokemon in your team just for HMs in my opinion.

Yeah I do, mainly because I don't want to waste perfectly good move slots on my pokemon just so it can learn an hm to get me past a certain point in the game. I try to go for pokemon that can learn a couple of the important ones like cut, surf and fly, and even the tms surf and fly are fairly decent power wise, but all of the other ones are pretty weak which gives me all the more reason to use an hm slave. If I already have a team of strong well trained pokemon, I am sure that one lame HM slave that knows most of the hms isn't going to cripple the whole team entirely.

Yeah why not, the almighty cut should only be reserved for the amazing bidoofs and patrats, on a comical note, one time I used a mew as an hm slave in my nuzlocke, it was funny to do because you wouldn't think mew of all Pokémon could be such an effective hm slave.

In all seriousness, I never have HM slaves, because my team would be able to learn all the HMs anyways. Besides, why would I give Surf or Fly to Pokémon I'll never use in battle?

I never used a pokemon for slaving HMs, I never thought that you could capture pokemon to then give it HMs to then use it like a slave.

Then again, until recently. I have played Pokemon since 2006 and never heard of this term.

Never intentional but in R/S/E  I taught my water type dive surf and waterfall because I hated using the pc of coarse thanks to touch screens its a lot easier.

I dont really like the idea of HM slaves, i well round it out between my Pokemon. Although what is the hardest is Water type HM's since there is Dive, Waterfall and Surf which could be very useful, but all needed by a water Pokemon, in my cases at least. So to answer the question, no i do not use them and probably never will.
