Being somewhat more biased on this one but zero mission. I beat it so I saw more than what I saw in what I have played so far in the original so I can't really say much other than the graphic differences how things are designed.

I would have to say they're both equally good. But on the site the remake might be better because you can fast forward.I don't really care too much about graphics of frames per second though.

Zero Mission is way better in my opinion the original Metroid is too hard to play in my opinion and Zero Mission to me seems better in every way. I especially love the graphics in Zero Mission which the original lacked.

kurslash :
Zero mission is definitely better. All of the boss enemies have a cutting, chilling edge to them, whereas the old ones seem almost too slow or far away to me. Plus the bit where you have to play without the power suit is very difficult...and unexpected.

I agree with most in here, Zero Mission was much better. In fact, the remake was almost necessary to really encourage giving the Original game a better look if you compare the two. The new twists in the remake really adds to the experience too, including for those who have played the original first.
