I do not really have time to explain, but apparently there will be anywhere from 10 million to 30 million people descending upon Washington, DC, in order to remove Obama and Boehner from office. Looks like that civil war might end up happening early. That or we could actually have a peaceful usurping of power. Either way, this seems interesting.

Edit: This whole thing is BS.

While I do like the idea, I don't like the boneheads doing it. We have had much (MUCH) worse in office and he is the lesser of two evils but still. This isn't going to happen and even if these people do get some there amount to join them, what do they think will happen? Do they really thing they can eject all of those people? How do they plan to do it? Let me guess, waving signs and saying "go home commie!". They are a joke and what they are doing is like doing nothing at all. I hope they have a fun wasting their time.

GenesisJunkie : I did not get to mention it, but it seems that militias are heading the "operation". They could actually cause some serious in-fighting, and we could have a really bad problem on our hands. These are people that very likely actually have weaponry, and I feel like they are not level-headed enough to not start shooting at some point, especially with so many people. I am actually rather concerned about this, even the numbers alone spell trouble.

sop281 : I don't foresee them reaching that number. If they plan on actually doing something, they are not going about it right but good for them for standing up for what they believe (even though its nothing but big business fascist lies being breathed into their ears by the rich that will profit from it).

It is really hard to get people to join your cause, even if that many people said they would march with them, only a fraction of that will show up (more than likely). This thing will sizzle out before it really begins.

GenesisJunkie : I kind of hope that you are right, but at the same time I want some change. The odds of them reaching those numbers exactly might be low, but I can foresee at least a number of people participating. Even if the number ends up only being a million people, or even several hundred thousand, they can still cause some serious issues for people in the area. Who knows? They might even end up starting something closer to home. I can see this branching off into many directions. Never underestimate the militias. While I do not agree with everything they do, they can get pretty serious when they put their heads together.

There are so many things wrong with this that I can only watch and laugh (and face-palm).

First off, the name's seems to be based on the Arab Spring. Take a look at Egypt and Syria. Incredibly Successful, right? Not.

Secondly, I don't think he's actually ever read the constitution that he supposedly wants to uphold.

Congress has the power "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;". The Militia in this case is the US Army, I think. If this doesn't qualify as an insurrection, I don't know what is. Especially since you said they might resort to violent means, since they're probably armed. If they do, they're screwed. And by the same document they want to uphold.

There's also this interesting Tidbit I read on the Arab Spring that I think would apply here.

That does not mean that the majority of the Iraqi people, or for that matter the Tunisians, the Libyans or the Egyptians, would want the dictatorship restored. But they still feel urged to compare situations, mainly to expose the futility and failure of those who lead the crowds in revolt, claiming to be able to offer better alternatives than the regimes they condemned and overthrew. [Link]

It's one thing to say that something is bad, but I don't see how the success of this could result in anything better. If anything, it would set the precedent that a small radical minority could compromise the entire political system.

Anyway, this is likely just the media trying to grab everyone's attention. I speculate that it will fail from lack of participation and that we'll have forgotten all about it in a few months.

I like the concept, a lot of people are fed up with the US government over its handling over Benghazi, the IRS targeting, spying, and now Veterans not getting their health care. However, when you get this many people things can get out of hand quickly. Since it is near the Capital the police are going to be edgy anyway. So yeah the concept is good its just I don't know how this would play out. I can see it getting ugly in a hurry.

This may be off topic, but I think we should go back to the constitution. Respect the right of gun owners, audit the IRS to make sure they are not targeting people for political reasons, and end the NSA or at least audit them. What I mean is make sure the NSA has a good reason to spy on people.

EideticMemory : Probably. I was actually only mildly serious about it being somewhat successful. The odds are, it won't. I just wanted to rile some excitement, eh?

tornadocam : Their reason for spying is "good", for them, at least. They can exhort control over people by tracking where they are. The Internet just makes their job of tracking and controlling people easier.

sop281 : It's semi-obviously not going to be successful in terms of participation and whatnot. I'm just bringing up the irony between what they're trying to achieve (protecting the constitution) and how they're doing it (going against it).

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but Russia today is not worthy of being used for toilet paper.
They print what the Russian government tell them to, and right new, Russia is saying we need America to look weak.
They are like Fox news, or the daily mail. But worse (hard to believe, I know).
This same paper has been painting Russia as liberators and bastions of democracy over their invasion of Ukraine.
They are pumping out cold war propoganda. I say this as a guy that disagrees almost entirely with the u.s government.

I already knew this was a ten ton sack of BS by the time I got to the 5th paragraph, where RT reveals that they got their source material from BeforeItsNews.com, the sagging cancerous tumor of the internet, worse than the comments section of a Yahoo News article, the origin of most of those Facebook spam posts that have been shared 100K+ times claiming that toothpaste has cyanide in it, that Obama is going to put microchips in people, that the US dollar will be replaced by Chinese currency in the USA, etc. etc.
It's a site ran by and populated with 60-something-year-old tinfoil-hat-wearing loonies sitting on their back porch in Council Bluffs, Iowa with a Windows 98 laptop, who claim to be prophets and then spread forth their filth with the power of the internet.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, on that site is to be regarded as newsworthy or truthful, and it should be avoided at all costs if you value your intelligence and mental health.

That rant aside, this would not be the first time in America's history that some old fart thinks [insert name of current president] is the antichrist and needs to be removed for fear of divine punishment and/or the collapse of the nation. Cries like these are to be disregarded, as they will amount to nothing valuable. This is not the first time something like this has happened, nor will it be the last. Take a look at their Facebook page if you want to see just how nutty these people are. Given that most of them are from the generation that destroyed America, I don't really want to hear their opinions on how to fix it.

Edit: A related and somewhat hilarious video (the 2nd one): http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/05/17/1300085/-The-Sad-Aftermath-of-American-Spring
