It's interesting how people already claim to speak or write Japanese well.  I forget who but someone said they knew it in a thread a few months ago.  I lived in Hawaii for many years and traveled regularly to Japan for fun and business.  I hit that person up with some phonetic Japanese (in English, I can't write hiragana or kanji on here) and they went silent.

I love languages and I missed the boat being a translator.  I speak some average Spanish, I speak Japanese and English extremely well, and I would like to learn Arabic next.  I have some audio CDs from the U.S. Army learning academy with Arabic translations but that doesn't get one very far.   I need to practice and learn by talking to people.

I also think the Al Bhed from Final Fantasy X is a great answer.  Cactuar is brilliant.

warmaker : I haven't learned the advance ones yet so I learn how I wish. And as I go along as well, I will get there. But, for now there's no need for me to rush. I knew how to say but, was not able to write down all of the words. I knew some words to write down but not all. This was something I should had done ages ago but, had to struggle for what I was looking for. In order to help me to learn it.

Laian : Free Chinese lessons? That's pretty cool, I wish my school would have free Chinese or Italian lessons. How long did the lessons took then? And you don't have to teach me Italian, but it would be nice if I knew something easy things as ordering in a restaurant, buying stuff or greetings. I know a few things though.

Now, as far as I can remember, it was 1 hour a week and I stayed there at this camping with my parents for 3 weeks, which means a total of 3 hours. juuldude : I know a few words, but they aren't like "Hi, how are you?" and stuff. For example, laway (lao-wi) means saliva or spit. Also, I think you meant "Hola, ¿cómo estás?", because "Bien, de donde eres?" translates to "Well, where are you?"

Eniitan : You did a great job spelling phonetically what you wanted to say.  I understood it.  Sometimes the translation gets wonky because the English language doesn't always have the right enunciation to convey what the Japanese speaker is saying.

My cuz showed it to me yesterday you can learn any languages that you want. Simply sign up, its free. Then brows whatever languages you wanna learn! Then you will see a list of categorize of how you what to learn. And what type of sections you want to learn from that culture! I suggest you write down first in notebook before taking the tests. Because that would mean you have to type out in spelling as well! Its so enjoyable. It will help you, and will surprise you when you least expect it. ^-^

And gomennasai has two N's instead of 1.
