Welcome to the boards. I am also new here however I have already noticed that the existing members seem to be very friendly and welcoming towards the new members so hopefully you will soon settle in and begin to take root.

I noticed a reference to Irish comedy in one of the other replies to your thread, one of the things I have always admired about the Irish is their ability to look at the world in a more relaxed vein and this is expressed both through comedy and song. The Celtic roots of Ireland have influenced life in the British Isles in so many subtle ways that often people fail to acknowledge the debt of gratitude that we owe to Ireland.

Finally I would just like to reaffirm the welcome that I gave in the start of this thread and hope that you enjoy your time here.
