I am a little short on time, but have many games I want to try on this website. I am just wondering what you guys would recommend.
I want to try a Metroid game(Super Metroid?), a Mega Man game, or perhaps a Spyro game. I am short on time, so it shouldn't be a really long game. 

What do you think I should play?

Time really isn't a factor if you use the save state feature. You could literally play for only a few minutes a day and save your game then return later and pick it up from exactly where you left it. (F2 to save and F4 to load)

I haven't played any of those three games, but I think I can offer a good piece of advice, still If you don't have a lot of time, I'd suggest a less story-rich game. I don't know for sure, but I believe Spyro has more of a plot than the other two, so I'd personally eliminate it.  You don't want to get caught up in a game and start to prioritize incorrectly or stress because you can't feed your eagerness to play.

I can give you several recommendations for a Mega Man game or should I say games. I would recommend Mega Man 7 for SNES, Mega Man V and IV as well as III for game boy. For the NES I would recommend, 5, 4 and 3. If you want to try to the Mega Man X series. I recommend X2 and X3. These are my favorite Mega Man games. I am a Mega Man player so I play a lot of Mega Man games.

I recommend you try Final Fantasy 7. It's a simple game with amazing graphics, great soundtrack, it's addicting, and the best part about it is the story. It'll speak to you and make you connect to the character. But beware, there's a lot of cursing like the S word, F word (Which is censored), damn, crap, etc.

(Surprisingly, the S word isn't censored, and despite all the cursing and the fact that somebody gets stabbed through the chest and dies, it's only rated T)
