I hope there's a multiplayer mode, both co-op and competitive. As for the game itself, I'm torn. It offers me the two things I want most (aside from a TP sequel ): Realistic TPesque graphics, and more sword fight action. The only thing I don't like is that this looks like a Zelda version of Dynasty Warriors. Don't get me wrong, DW is a good game, it just gets old after a while when all you do is run through fields slashing mindlessly. If they can actually master a balance between a real story, genuine Zelda gameplay, and DW's army fighting styles, then this could be the beginning of a beautiful new franchise that I will love.

Now if we do have multiplayer, I would like to see Link (obviously), Zelda, Dark Link, Gannondorf, Midna (her true form, as the imp version would be too powerful), and perhaps some of the other Zelda classics all as playable characters. I highly doubt we get Midna though, unless there's some sort of "Brawl" mode where we have no story, and just beat the living tri-force out of everyone. lol

You know what would make this game awesome? If they gave us typical Zelda gameplay elements like your average Zelda story that leaves us running around Hyrule collecting heart containers and such, and mixed it up by letting us slash through enemy armies with our own troops. It wouldn't be a substitute for Zelda games, but it would be a nice side game like Mario Kart is to Mario Bros.

I agree with pretty much everything you said in your post. I like Hyrule warriors so far, but one thing bugs me that I think you mentioned a little bit.


The fighting isn't balanced, or really, you can just kill hordes of enemies with little or no effort. After Playing Mount & Blade, I'm kindof addicted to it's style of fighting, what with how you are not an overpowered hero of some kind with crazy spin attacks and such.


Multi-player, or particulariy- player vs player is what I'm looking forward to in this game. I would also be happy if we got more than tow factions in this game as well.

I agree. That slash or two and they're dead thing is what made me eventually grow tired of Dynasty Warriors, though I admit I had a blast with it for a few weeks. If they make the battle more balanced like in real Zelda games (especially Darknuts) then the game could be awesome. If such is the case, then Nintendo will have given me the last push I need to decide to buy a WiiU.
