My favorite FPS series would be Halo. I chose Halo because it's the only game (listed) that I have played. I don't call of duty because I have family members that have served in the armed forces, and the rest of the titles I haven't played but I have seen game footage and they just aren't the kind of games I'm into.

My vote goes to miscellaneous. My favorite FPS series is Killzone. The games are beautiful, the stories are better than many FPS games, and they also have a really nice multiplayer. I have enjoyed playing the games on my PS2, PS3, and Vita, though I cannot say anything about Liberation (PSP) or Shadow Fall (PS4).

Although it's not a pure FPS my vote would go to Borderlands (miscellaneous). The first Borderlands was ok because it had unique art, unique characters, and a disregard for logical weapons. But the second one took the prize in my eyes, stunning art and weapon design, unique and interesting characters both in terms of model and backstory, and a decent plot line for a shooter. A d-bag corporation owner named Handsome Jack attempts to turn a frontier planet into a mining/civilization planet and use the power of the ore mined to unlock an ancient weapon. That's basically the gist of the story and already its something that would make me look up footage.
