I agree with the first one, having the second evolution of the Pokemon that appear earlier in the game will give you a significant advantage, because evolution adds a big bonus to a Pokemon's stats. This is why bug-type Pokemon such as Beedrill are so valuable early on in the game, because they evolve and get powerful quickly.

However, getting a bunch of rare candies is a rather cheap way to beat the game, and it takes out all the fun. And I've never even heard of the third thing you mentioned...

They are not bad tips on beating the game, but probably won't be my favorite, as the user above me said that it kinda takes out the fun of the game, well I think it would too.

i agree with the first. I remember doing it when I first got yellow version as kid since the 2nd or third gym was too hard to beat so I evolved as many as I could.
The 2nd is wow. Shouldnt even be mentioned or just rename the thread "How to beat any pokemon game right when you start"
