Plot Overview: The game takes place during the 1960s in an alternate history world in which the Nazis won World War II. The player assumes the role of series protagonist William "B.J." Blazkowicz who is tasked with launching an "impossible" counter-offensive against the Nazi powers that have taken over the world.Set in Europe, The New Order will have players infiltrating Nazi strongholds and battling legions of enemies, while taking control of "super weapons" that the Nazis have used to dominate Earth.
Three years after the events of Wolfenstein, famed OSA agent Blazkowicz has suffered from amnesia he received at the height of the war due to a secret mission gone awry. For the last 14 years he has resided in an asylum. After escaping, he finds a harsh new world controlled by a more advanced "old" enemy.
Intended for a worldwide release 20 May, 2014 for the PS3, PS4, PC, 360, and XOne. 

The gameplay trailer can be seen here: Wolfenstein Gameplay Trailer. It all looks so exciting. The last Wolfenstein game that I have played was on the Game Boy Advance, so it's obviously going to be a totally different experience. I personally think the game looks brilliant (as far as the trailer), and will definitely be checking up on it in the future. Anybody else have an opinion? Think that you will be picking it up eventually? 

You got to be kidding me. I was just talking about Wolfenstein 3D. This game looks pretty neat, I love Wolfenstein, so if I could play this I probably would. Sadly I do not have and will not be getting any of this generations consoles. Thank you for posting this though, it is a cool looking game.

sop281 : When i first saw the trailer my jaw dropped. I'm excited for this game to come out. Any release dates been shown? This really excites me to see where they go with one of the best FBS (in my own opinion) it's really exciting me.

I had no idea at all about this game until I read this, so I watched the trailer and I have to say that it looks really good. Since it comes out next month, I might actually pick up a copy to test it out for myself for the PS4.

poopadooper : Heh. I have it in the post, it is at the bottom of the plot summary, but it is (I believe) May 20th, 2014. I'm pretty excited too, but there are a bunch of good games coming out in the next few months, so I probably will not be picking up a copy until there is at least a price drop for it months after it has been released. 

sop281 : The game i'm kind of looking forward to is watch dogs it looks good. ^.^ Yeah i'm guessing it'll cost around 60$ when it comes out

I loved Wolfenstein 3D, and really enjoyed Wolfenstein on the 7th gen consoles, so I definitely can't wait for this one, and to think it has a fabled beta key for DooM only sweetens the deal so much to me, because of how much of a DooM fan I am and how long I've waited for anything about it.

Update: A new trailer for the game has been released. Here it is: Wolfenstein: The New Order Trailer. The new trailer is really making me want the game. Bethesda has also said that they will be providing "actual gameplay playthroughs" soon, so stay tuned if you are still on the fence of whether or not to pre-order this early on. I hope it ends well, and that we do not end up getting an underwhelming shell of a release.
