I like it in the sense that Facebook can pump more money into various game projects. I also believe that many of their big games will be converted for the OC, but there would be a price.

I don't think Minecraft should be cancelled.

Well, although they'll certainly have the funds to improve the Oculus Rift, I'm not sure what they're going to do with it, and neither is the rest of the internet. Will they attempt to make it so that only official, published games with special Rift support could use it? Are they going to charge money for a subscription service? We'll find out once they've actually taken action with it. As far as I know, they haven't really done anything major with it aside from buying it for 2 BILLION dollars! The developers of this thing are probably swimming in cash right now! They may just sit on it and kill it, then proceed to change the way it looks and say that it was their idea. I've seen it happen before...Sometimes large companies are shady like that.

I think they just bought to increase their profits I mean the only real contender to oculus rift so far is project morpheus and it's going to be exclusive to Sony consoles anyways. Oculus rift has the advantage because it has more time put into it and is also more open.
