In the news breaking stories are happening all the time.

What was the last one that made you say.

Say whaaaat!

I will have to go with the whole thing with flight 370. I did not hear about it until a few days after it happened, but when I did learn about it, I kept saying to myself, "Now how does that happen???"

People can't find a plane. Pathetic.

The story about the congressional nominee from Illinois, Susanne Atanus. I'll give you some quotes, for those of you who did not read about this: 
“God is angry,” she told the [Chicago Daily] Herald. “We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions. Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God.”

“Everybody knows that God controls weather,” Atanus said … God is super angry,” she said.

“Gay marriage is not appropriate, and it doesn’t look right, and it breeds AIDS,” Atanus added.

In addition, because why stop when you’re on a roll, Atanus told Windy City Times that she doesn’t believe in separation of church and state, adding, “I believe that maybe there should be an amendment to get that out of the Constitution because God will never go away.”

Txgangsta : It is all about the money and the power. When people are little, what is a common source of interest that has to do with power? The presidency (or the equivalent of that in another country). Then people realize that the presidency is a very difficult to obtain position, and decide to instead go for a lower position in the government. Such as senator or representative of the house. It just seems to be what she chose to do: obtain that money and power. That or she is one twisted person who likes to end up as yet another one of the religious sheep that molds and bends religion as she pleases. Maybe she just wants everyone to have to follow her ideals, as wrong as they may be. I dunno. 

sop281 : yeah, I only believe in spreading ideas, not forcing them down others throats. Now I go through life wondering which religion is the right one? Are any of them? But it feels good following what you personally believe in. I want to just let people think what they want, not go on some conversion bullcrap all over the world.
If someone wants to tell you what they trust in, listen and then continue going through what you care for best.

I'm definitely religious, but this lady is easily crossing the line into "radical". The arguments she makes with the "God is angry" are the same one's that the Westboro Baptists use.

Txgangsta : If she is heading into Westboro territory, she is definitely going down the wrong path. Westboro is pretty much a hate group (or at least, should be classified as one). Hopefully she straightens out (will not happen) and turn back towards a path that is truly righteous (definitely will not happen). It is sad to see where some people are turning these days.
