Oh, Erick Davis, my lovely, loyal dear,
At this point there is nothing much that I can really say
Except for the fact that I'll love you more with every passing year,
Month, week, second, minute and day

It's almost as though you were some sort of hand
That took mine into yours and pulled me away,
Away from the dismal, melancholy, sorrowful land.
You greeted me like the blinding dawn of another new day.

Erick, you are my answer to Mario's Peach,
You introduced me to the love I didn't think could exist,
To me, love and happiness are the best lessons you teach,
Someone as kind and caring as you is hard to resist.

You're like a cup of hot chocolate after a walk in the snow,
You tell me everything is going to be okay,
Because you're funny and smart when it comes to show,
You greeted me like the blinding dawn of another new day.

There was a hole in my heart not long ago,
A mere vacuum of misery.
Then, you came along and filled it up,
And gave a new definition of 'me'.

Erick, or Sonic, or whatever I may call you,
Please read this very carefully,
My friends, and family, and now you
Are the reason I'm happy

To wrap this up, here's something new -
This poem of gratitude is a way
To say thank you, and I love you,
