Heya Dearies,It is i relinquish.You know the best Pokemon reviewer to ever exist...like ever,Anyway as you may have been able to tell if you have a grasp on time.It has been two weeks,And i can do another review.And that is good because recently i have been completely consumed and fascinated with one particular Pokemon.Can any of you guess what it is? No...? well your stupid.Its Crobat.And i must admit that Crobat is a Pokemon i have been eyeing ever since i started doing these reviews as a little time sink.But i just never got around to reviewing it.But now friends,Now is the time where i give my oh so humble opinion on this wicked little demon.So without further ado or further warning lets get-...

Death The Kid: Its completely symmetrical in ever way..

Relinquish: Yeah i guess it is,Your insane.

At the start this awesome sauce creature will get four out of five of these...really sucky moves.

Cross poison
Screech
Leech life
Supersonic
Astonish

Ugh.Alright all of these are bad-Decent,Except for Cross poison.That is what you want to aim for.However,There is no special way to get these moves.Odds are your just going to get them all at random.So uh...just pray to god you get Cross poison.Or Arceus,Or whatever.

Bite,12: Alright bite.60 base damage.100% accuracy.And a 10% chance of making the target flinch.Its decent and its all we got,So take it.

Wing attack,15: This move has a base damage of 60 and has 100% accuracy...That's it,Not to bad.But really,Its just a dumbed down version of bite.Still having some flying type moves will be nice.I say if you got an extra slot to spare consider getting this move.

Confuse ray,19: OH COME ON,Alright this move is not...bad,But i don't really like it,This move has...100% accuracy,Holy crap it has 100% accuracy.You know what? How i acted at the start? Screw that.Take this move.

Swift,24: This move has a base attack damage of 65 and has near perfect accuracy,Literally this move has no accuracy rating,Its almost completely assured to hit,And it deals slightly more damage than previous moves.Still it is a normal type move and does not have alot going for it.Despite having a slight boost in damage,I recommend skipping this one.Still i can't stop you.

Air cutter,28: This move...is awesome,This move has a base attack damage of 60 and has 95% accuracy.And to put some cherry's on top of the sundae,This move has an increased critical hit ratio.Fairly good.If you still have wing attack with you.I recommend switching that out for this.

Acrobatics,33:This Move has a base attack damage of 55 and has 100% accuracy.On top of that,Its power is doubled if the user has no held item.And that of course shall bring you up to 110 base attack damage,For those who don't care about items,This move will be most effective.

Mean look,38: Crobat...What are you doing?

Poison fang,42: This move has a base attack damage of 50 and has 100% accuracy,And has a 30% chance of poisoning the target.Somewhat effective,But far to weak as of now.I say give it a pass,As there are going to be alot of poison Tms that are FAR better than this.

Haze,47: PFFT.Ha ha ha ha ha ha HAAAAAAA-,No.Crobat.Don't do this to yourself.

Air Slash,52: Air slash...Really? This move is not bad,But since we have air cutter...there really is no reason to take this move.However if you feel the need to pick this orphan up off the street,Nobody is stopping you.

Seras: Well they appear rather dull at first,But they also seem to balance out pretty well.

Relinquish: Yes.Yes.Enough of her.Back to the star (AKA me) And onto the stats.

Hp,85: Alright this stat is relatively effective.And it seems to balance out pretty well.Good job crobat.You passed Health,God knows i never could...*Sobs*

Attack,90: Yes.I love this stat,Go ahead and make use for it,And once again i would love to point out that this is balancing out pretty well.

Defense,80: Alright...Not to bad,Sure it does seem rather weak,And you will take a bit of damage when you get it.But all in all this is decent

Sp.Atk,70: BAD,But it does not matter.Much like Porygon,If a stat is bad,Its okay.Because those points are going into a stat that needs more points.Eh strong steal from the weak who cares.

Sp.Def,80: Everything i said about defense.Apply it here.

Speed,130: Yes Crobats trademark stat.Its speed.And while it is good-Great.In MY opinion,It does not need so many points.Seriously the Greed and Gluttony of this stat!

Greed and Gluttony: What?

Relinquish: Go back to Fullmetal Alchemist!

Anyway,The greed and gluttony of this stat is insane.In my opinion all it needs it 100 points.The rest can be spread evenly throughout its fellow stats,I mean seriously Speed calm down.

As for weaknesses...This is were Crobat begins to falter.Rock Electric Psychic and Ice,Rock and Electric are going to be common threats,And later in the game psychics are going to screw you over ALOT.But all you need is a rock type.And Electric and Rock type Pokemon will be covered.And just get a dark type for the psychics,Finally as for ice.Just get a rock type with a decent speed stat,Or any random fire type.

OH yeah.This Pokemon is immune to ground type attacks...awesome

This Pokemon's Leveling rate is rather fast

Sludge bomb
Venoshock
Shadow ball,Or Dark Pulse

Fly: This move is here to be your escape pod,When you need to get out of a bad situation.Just use this move.

Sludge Bomb: This move is here to poison the target.And its still a pretty powerful move on its own.

Venoshock: This move is here when you have finally poisoned the target,This move will deal AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF DAMAGE.And trust me.The enemy (If poisoned) Will either be dead,Or close to death-

Seras: Actually the term is-

Relinquish: Faint.WHATEVER!

Shadow Ball-Dark pulse: These moves are here for protecting you against psychic types.Really you can pick either one.However,I personally chose shadow ball.As i was not in many AOE (Area of effect for non mmo players out there) Situations in my testing sessions.

*Gyms Rival & Elite 4*

Gym: This Pokemon is VERY effective against the gyms,IN LATE GAME.By late game i mean levels 50+ At the begging unless you are very good at grinding in tall grass,You may find some trouble in a few gyms.

Rival : This Pokemon past level 25 Will completely destroy your rival,It will be to quick to attack.And if you play your cards right,You can land a One hit K.O.

Elite 4: Should you take this Pokemon to the elite 4...? Maybe,It may work out.But this guy has a few kinks that makes it just barely missing a recommendation to take it there.

1.This Pokemon may be quick,But it is fragile.
2.give this Pokemon a healing item that can heal in one burst,Not something that can heal slowly overtime.

Final thoughts:

This Pokemon is VERY VERY VERY GOOD,But not great.And as much as i want to give it a 4/5...Its just not going to happen.
It has a very odd start in the  moveset,Yet it slowly starts to redeem itself near the end,And while it has its hits and misses,Its still a pretty good set

Its stats are extremely balanced,And i would say its some of the best stats i have ever seen,Despite the greed of the Speed stat....

It has a decent array of tms and hms to choose from.

And finally it is very good against the a.i in later levels( IF.you have given it some good tms)

I do recommend this Pokemon,And i would go out of my way to get it,But not often.I do really like the Pokemon,And i do think of it as a prime example of some of the best poison types,But once again,It just barely strays from being great.So this leads me to give Crobat a VERY good score of.

Final rating: 3.8/5

Crobat however does not earn the Agent Of Awesomeness badge.And here is why.Despite being one of the best poison types out there,If you don't compare it to other poison types and just compare it to all Pokemon in general,You will find that it is not as great as you originally may have believed.

Pros
Very solid poison type,And proof that not all poison types sucks.
A decent array of tms and hms.
Extremely good addition to most party's if you need a flying type or poison type.
Not so bad in competitive play.

Cons
Speed stat does seem a bit greedy (Sorry,i just can't get over that)
Some may feel a bit turned off from the idea that you have to grind with a Golbat to get to this guy,But its not that bad.
Moveset is rather weak at first.

For Alternate Pokemon recommendations i refer you to

1:I point you towards Crobats spiritual brother,Gliscor.
2: Staraptor: While Crobat is a good hybrid type,Staraptor is clearly the superior airborne Pokemon.
3.: Gengar: Gengar can do just about everything Crobat can.

For Pokemon i suggest you pair this guy up with,Well.

1.Hydreigon: As Hydreigon is a excellent tank and can be the tip of the spear for nearly ANY team.
2.Excadrill: This is a wonderful Pokemon on its own,But it is also very good at protecting you from your weaknesses.
3: Gardevoir: As Gardevoir is a decent damage dealing member of any party.
