We all think video games are a vital part of our lives, but what about other interests and ambitions? 
I personally want to study abroad and become a Japanese language interpreter/translator. Mainly for the sake of voice acting for games and anime. 
I love Steampunk, Lolita fashion, Cosplay, and a few other lifestyles that involve creativity and culture.

I was just wondering if anyone else would like to share their likes and interests as far as that goes.

FledgeIridessa0 : Actually yes, I too would like to study abroad and learn Japanese. Though, my reasons are not [exactly] the same. I also would like to be able to play games in Japanese and watch anime in Japanese. It would also be nice to be able to read manga in Japanese. When it all comes down to it, I really want to learn Japanese, but I'm not so sure I'd like to be an interpreter or a translator, seeing as they are both very intense, and rapid jobs depending on who you work for. Now, it could be fun, but at the same time, I'm not so sure I'd be able to even keep up with the pace of the work. I thought it would be a neat idea to move to Japan, and I still hold that belief, but I'm not so sure I'd be able to interpret or translate, or even become an English language teacher. I don't know, but going back to the original topic at hand, I am very interested in Japanese culture in general, and primarily the anime, gaming, manga, and food aspect.

I hope you're not a picky eater.  Most things in Japan that aren't Americanized look back at you when you eat them.

I sort of do. I want to have some part of game development, so I want to learn Japanese so I can work at Nintendo. Or, maybe translate games both ways. So Japan could have some games only around here, and we could have Japanese games. I'm not all too into anime, but they have lots of things that can impact the whole world. Video games, anime, technology, being in any of those is exciting!

I guess, yeah. If I were to have a life doing something video-gamey... It would be a tournament player for Super Smash Bros. while I'm waiting for job openings, then I would probably try to become a NOA employee that actually works on games. I don't really want to learn a new language (especially one as difficult as Japanese), but if I have to...
