I don't know if this question belongs here but I need it answered! How in god's name do you open chests? It's driving me NUTS! I heard you go up to the Chest and press X but that didn't work...is there a different button that does work?

I just started playing the game....I have the sword and shield and I went to the Mysterious Forest...from there I am lost as I cannot move rocks yet and there are chests that can be opened...its just that i can't open them!
