Heya Heya Heya guys.It is i relinquish and we are back for yet another Pokemon review,You know because i just love helping people...Then again,You could just get all of this info from bulbapedia or something,Who knows? Maybe i'm just arrogant?

Asura: I wouldn't doubt it.

Relinquish: Shut it you 3rd eyed freak of nature,Oh yeah.Audience this is Asura,You know from soul eater...? Yeah of course you don't,because none of you are Otaku.Anyway he is going to be my newest assistant/Helper/Personal lap dog.

Asura: Greetings...And what do mean by lap dog?

Death the kid: Oh are we reviewing another Pokemon? Apologies i was just brushing my ha-..Oh.Hello brother.

Relinquish:.Relinquish...Sorry i always wanted to do that,Anyway lets get to this review while these two catch up,Also before this gets counted as spam..

*Moveset*

Alright this Pokemon has 4 moves to start out with.

Conversion: This move changes the users Pokemon type to the last move it got hit by,So lets say you get hit by a thunderbolt,Well first of all i have no idea how you would survive but that's not the point,Porygon would then become an electric type,This move is..somewhat effective,So use it for now.

Tackle:...I am not even going to tell you what this does,Just use it for know.As it is really all we have at the moment.

Sharpen:Know we have a relatively effective move,Sharpen increases you attack by 1 stage.Awesome sauce,Take it use it....eh don't love it.

Conversion 2: This move changes porygon's Type to the targets Pokemon,So say we are facing a pikachu,We are going to become an electric type,Rather simple really.

Psybeam.7: This move has a base attack damage of 65 and has 100% accuracy,And to top this sundae off with a cherry,This move has a 10% chance of confusing the target,One of my favorite lower level psychic type moves,Take it use it love it...until you get something better.

Agility,12: This move raises the users speed by 2 stages,Very good move in competitive play,Not so much here..

Recover,18: This move allows you to recover 50% of the users health,And it is SO ANNOYING,just be thankful that you have it,Aka take this move,It will be highly effective.

Magnet Rise,23: This move prevents the users Pokemon from being hit by ground type moves for 5 turns,You know that last thing i said about agility? Just apply it here.

Signal beam,29: This move has a base attack damage of 75 and has 100% accuracy,Also following in the footsteps of Psybeam,This move has a 10% chance of confusing the target,pretty powerful move for now,So be sure to make use of it.

Recycle,34: This move restores the user's held item if it was lost in the current battle,I can imagine this move being abused in competitive play,However sadly for us,This is offline play,Get the point?

Discharge,40: OH YES,One of my favorite electric type moves ever have returned,This move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy,Also this move hits all targets,And to take it even further this move has a 30% chance of paralyzing the target,This move is near perfect,The only downside to it is that it hits ALL targets.I hope you get the point,However i still highly recommend it.

Lock on,45: Now lock on is...a rather interesting move,It ensures that the next move the user uses will hit...no MATTER WHAT,Can you imagine the power this move has? Even moves that have zero to no chances of hitting will hit,That is awesome.i highly recommend this move if you can spare a slot,Trust me its worth it.

Tri attack,50: This move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy,Also this move has a 20% chance of freezing paralyzing or burning the target,A bit of a tricky move,Yet a powerful one,Go ahead and take it.

Magic coat,56: This move blocks moves such as.Leech seed.Thunderwave.And all that good stuff,A don't...really recommend this move,But i won't deny its effectiveness.

Zap cannon,62: oh...we have one of these moves...This move has a base attack damage of 120 and has 50% accuracy,Also this move will ALWAYS paralyze the target IF.IF,it hits,This move is powerful,But as many of you may know i prefer accuracy over power,Its sort of my OCD.

Death the kid: I feel the same way about symmetry...

Overall i don't recommend this move,But take it if you want.

Death the kid: Alright Asura,This is the part where we judge the stats of the Pokemon.

Asura: Well they don't appear to ba-...oh he is going to be pissed.

Relinquish: Actually...there not that bad.

Relinquish: Just hear me out.

HP,65:This stat is...not to bad if you judge it based on how many stat points this Pokemon has (395),This is not bad,I mean its certainly not good,But its not terrible.

Attack,60: Not really good,But we don't have many attack moves,I guess i can give this a pass.

Defense,70:Good,Rather good,This stat is very helpful because you can actually take a few hits,Granted not many,But its still appreciated.

Sp.atk,85: This stat is extremely effective,And is without a doubt the best stat this Pokemon has,And the most effective.

Sp.def,75: Second most effective stat that this Pokemon has,And it will help you most of the time,Seriously flamethrower pfft NOTHING NOW THAT ME HAVE THIS!

Speed,40: Ugh...you know what? This entire stat and why its bad,And why its okay.can be completely explained with this one quote.

"Human kind can not gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain something of equal value must be lost. "

Christ i love fullemetal alchemist,Even though it does not follow the manga,Anyway.Enough references that you don't understand,Now its time for this Pokemon's weaknesses,And you know what..? It only has one.

...YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! i freaking love that,And its fighting...its actually fighting,Only fighting,That is NOTHING Compared to other Pokemon,This Pokemon may not be to good but this is AWESOME!

Oh yes finally leveling,This Pokemon's leveling is rather decent,It won't be to bad.

Psychic: This move is here to be your main attack move,Also its your one defense against you one weakness.

Ice beam: Honestly...this move has no reason to be here,It can just freeze Pokemon,And it can protect you from flying types,Which is a bit odd as not many flying types have fighting type moves but...whatever.

Charge beam: This move is perhaps the most important in the set,for those who don't know this move has a 70% chance of raises the users special attack by one stage,Which is very effective if it actually works.And luckily most of the time it works.

Swagger: Swagger confuses the target but raises there attack by 2 stages,Awesome move but DON'T abuse it,or you will die..quickly.

Gyms Rival And Elite 4

Rival : Your rival will be QUITE the challenge,I dare say that he or she,On a occasion can be more difficult than the gyms themselves,However your advantage is that you have 1 weakness,But don't think that your a tank and that you can take on his or her entire team,Because your not...your most certainly not.

Gyms: Everything i just told you about the Rival,Okay imagine that,And then multiply it 3x,That is what gyms are like when using this Pokemon,At least at lower levels.It is BRUTAL,And odds are you are going to fail,More than once in fact.However,Its not impossible.

Elite 4: DON'T,I may have given this Pokemon a bit of credit,BUT DON'T, all of that credit,ITS GONE DON"T TAKE THIS THING TO THE ELITE 4,IT IS DEADWEIGHT,ABORT.ABORT.ABORT. GET OUT!

Tips

1.Give this Pokemon a healing item that can heal everything in one burst,Not something that can heal slowly over time.
2.This Pokemon can learn a WIDE,Range of Tms and Hms,Be sure to take advantage of that.
3.This Pokemon is very effective at backing up a team if your main Pokemon has fallen,Just give it recovery and toxic,And you got yourself one of the most annoying Pokemon ever.

Final thoughts:

Alright...final thoughts,Big time,This is where Porygon will stand,Or this is where Porygon will fall,So how does it play out in the end....Its barely...Barely..standing up.This Pokemon is not above average,Or even technically good,but it is CERTAINLY,Not terrible.

It has a..rather hit and miss moveset,With some moves that provide decent effects,Its stats are balanced and it knows how to balance points in its stat pool.It has a WIDE RANGE,of tm's and hm's to use,And its...really bad against rivals gyms and the Elite 4,And chances are you are going to get stressed out alot.

All in all porygon is...bad,But its not terrible,And i will give it credit because it just barely misses good territory,And it does not get to the point to where it is never worth using if you come across it in a nuzlocke,Or hey even in regular gameplay.Overall i am giving Porygon a VERY generous score of...Drumroll...?

Death the kid: Just give it a rating already.

Relinquish: Fine buzzkill.

HOWEVER,I am also giving Porygon the Agent Of Awesomeness badge,Now for the newer fans that have no idea what this is let me give you a basic description.Basically i can give the Agent Of Awesomeness badge to good or bad Pokemon,It does not matter,All that matters is if an Agent Of Awesomeness badge is Given to ANY Pokemon,it means that the Pokemon is worth using at some point,That's all.

For alternate Pokemon recommendations i refer you to.

1.Porygon's ultimate successor,Porygon-Z.

2.Alakazam.This Pokemon can do everything Porygon can,But better.

3.And finally if you are willing to do anything,I would suggest Gengar.As it is extremely powerful,However it is very hard to find,In my case at least.

For Pokemon i suggest you pair this guy up with.

1.I suggest,Staraptor,As it is most likely your most powerful defense against your one weakness.

2.Also i point you towards.Snorlax,As he is one of the most effective punching bags in the game,Seriously this guy can soak up Alot of damage,And that will give you time to heal.

3.And finally i suggest you look into getting,Gardevoir,As she is very VERY effective when pared with a pokemon such as porygon.
