After hearing what Marcus had to say he feels uncomfortable, is that all true? If so he knows he needs to be careful and watch not just his own back but every ones.

"Right we have had enough time and the beacon is just about out, we need to go! Is everyone ready? We will set out VERY soon. If you aren't ready or you don't want to come then that's fine but remember we are safer as a group and you have had ample warning. So this is the last call for people to be ready"

He sits with his back to the wall making sure he is rested for the journey ahead.

It seems every one's mind is well made up, we would go soon. I slowly stand up, not wanting to waste any more energy than I needed to. I made my way closer to the group, so as to not be left when we departed. Leaning against a small sandstone pillar, I hear my stomach growl, realizing how long since my last meal. I spot a cactus only 5 metres away. I use my sword to retrieve both the cactus juice, and get some cactus fruit, although it wasn't entirely ripe. I return satisfied, thankful I was on my own long enough to have a rudimentary understanding of survival tactics.
