I'm here to complain about something.  Spelling, and Grammar. 

Two things I hate about the internet, is spelling and grammar, how there is a lack of it. No one fully writes words anymore, they just write u, ur, and all that stuff... Fun Fact: The squiggly red line under words, means that they're spelled, WRONG!  We even have spell checker for goodness sake! All you have to do, to not look like an idiot, is right click words!? Yet everybody is too lazy to do this?! 

I do have to give some credit, a lot of Vizzed users have great grammar.  But for those of you who write titles like "wut is ur fav muvee."  Please.  Go post somewhere else...

I think you are mixing Internet slang and shortcuts with actual grammar and spelling errors. "wut" is slang, while "beacuase" is a spelling error. Do you hate both of them? I personally don't care about slang and shortcuts, I'm alright with some grammar errors (then instead of than doesn't bother me) but massive spelling errors can easily annoy me. However, I think we have to accept the fact that others are just having hard time writing in English, it's not everyone's first language. Heck, it's not even mine, I probably have errors here as well.
 

farmboy8 : There's some irony here.  You're complaining about grammar and your use of commas is terrible.  They're littered throughout your sentences like trash at an amusement park.

Word selection and shortcuts are not grammar points.  They're language.  And if everyone accepts 'ur' as a word.... it's a word.

We can't fight it.  Accept it and go with it.

"wut is ur fav muvee." I am pretty sure no native English speaker would type this. It's a completely different story if someone uses common "slang" or if English is a second language.
Don't pick others apart when you use such terrible punctuation placement.

I agree that it's annoying, but I think you were a little too hard on those people. It's annoying, and a flagrant disregard of the rules, but it's also against the rules to be rude, and I think you may have crossed that line just a bit.

warmaker : Actually we're the opposite. I can handle grammar and spelling errors far better than internet slang. I hate seeing internet slang because it's intentionally misspelled, and never even comes close to making sense. "Hey, wut r u up 2?" "I leik that game a lot 2." and the like. That gets on my nerves every time, especially when I see it on Vizzed! I mean, the rules plainly state "Use proper Spelling/grammar", and it says it right there on the screen every time you make a post. [/rant] lol

MysteriousPanzer : Sadly I know people who speak English as a first language, and still spell like that when typing a text/email etc. It drives me mad. lol
