I'm pretty sure some of these started at late 80's but they still broadcasted them in 90's so,...

Ren and Stimpy?  A horror?  That show was genius and way before its time.  It's meant to be for adults.  That's who the humor is aimed at.  It is meant for kids to watch and laugh at the animation and the parents to laugh at the real humor below the surface.  Ren and Stimpy was brilliant and great to watch.

The 90's were the best years for cartoons. My favorite show would have to be Beavis and Butt-Head. These two are so dumb but are hilarious. I also like how they watch great rock and heavy metal music videos from the 80's and 90's.

A lot of cartoons make adult jokes. If you pay real close attention to Spongbob you'll notice a few. My favorite 90s cartoon would have to be Yu-Gi-Oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how much darker it is compared to the other ones like GX and Zexal.

Yes, but Spongebob doesn't put them out so openly. there is only one joke that I can think of that would pop out at you, the rest are so discreet.  And, Beavis and Butt head cussed! I can't say I know of many cartoons in the early 90's that I really enjoyed, being born in 97, but I can easily say that my favorite 90's cartoon was The Simpsons, very well done.
