Synopsis
You play as an ordinary otaku who was leading an average high school life until he was caught by a shadowy organization and transformed into a Magaimono. These vampire-like people are attacking citizens in Akihabara. Fortunately, their weakness is sunlight, meaning they're but a strip away from turning to dust. This time, you're given a partner character of your choosing and can perform Unison Strip techniques to disrobe the enemy. Depending on the partner character you choose, the story will change. Akihabara is the main setting. The game will feature 130 real-name stores, including Edion, Laox, Onoden, Radio Kaikan, Sega GiGO, Lammtarra, Yodobashi Camera, Volks, Akibaoo, and Sofmap.

I really should have made a thread about this sooner, seeing as I was so interested in it, but I guess that thought never crossed my mind. Now, it seems that the game coming over may actually be possible, and it put the game back into my periphery.

XSEED recently (well, sort of), released an article on the PlayStation blog in December of last year: XSEED Games: A Year in Review. The article features a picture with characters in their games released in 2013, with a few other silhouettes. The silhouettes are meant to be characters for their upcoming games to be released this year, 2014. Some clever people have found out that the silhouette on the far right might actually be someone from Akiba's Trip 2. (EXCITEMENT)

Might as well toss in a few trailers: Promo/Gameplay Trailer (No Sound)'Strip Action' TrailerAkiba's Trip 2 Combat Trailer

I
don't know if anyone else is as excited for the game-assuming it gets a release outside of Japan-as I am, but feel free to talk about the game here, posting opinions and such.

EDIT: I forgot to post this here, but XSEED has announced that the game will be releasing in North America in the summer of 2014! Physical copies will be made available, so you don't have to worry about not getting one (to a certain extent). The game is going to be titled Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed. Here's the official Facebook page that XSEED made: Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed Official Facebook Page.
