If you play Minecraft online, do you feel the need to help other players out? Either with telling them what to do, helping them build something, or giving them supplies? There is only one server that I use, and there is a certain currency that they use. When I am on, I occasionally go to an area where there are a ton of players and I throw money on the ground for them to pick up. I also offer all sorts of excess materials for everybody and I help with all sorts of commands. What are some of the things that you do?

Having spent several months as a server admin, I had to help others every time I logged on. 

While a most of the requests were legitimate, much of my time was spent being bugged by some sort of griefer, con-man, or member wanting to be promoted. It does get tiring, but it's fun to mess around with those players

For legitimate requests, I do all I can. If there's something I can't do, I'll look it up or wait and ask when another staff member joins.

*sigh* I TRY to help people online. But honestly, one thing I'm not known for is my patience level. So basically if someone is competent and can follow directions, then it would be my pleasure to answer their question. But I will not deal with someone who asks a bajillion questions just because they can't work google.

Since I've never really played with someone that I don't know, I don't know that my answer is worth much.  I play a lot with friends, and I commonly try to provide shelter and equipment for those people when they play with me.  I usually have one or more guest rooms set up in my home base, along with a treasure chest, furnace, crafting table, and with some basic gear and supplies to help them get started (A couple of Iron Pick Axes, Iron armor, an Iron Sword, and some food at the very least.)
