It seems to happen 1-2 days after I shave EVERY SINGLE TIME! I don't know if it's ingrown hairs or just bad hygiene but no matter how often I scrub my face it just keeps happening! I take antibiotics too and it's not making much of an impact. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the doc says I'm fine. What are your thoughts?

I would recommend razor burn gel or lotion for men. I have found those two really work well for razor burns and razor burn acne.

What kind of a razor do you shave with? I've had different razors affect my skin differently. It might help to switch.

Also, a long time ago I got into the habit of splashing cold water on the newly shaved area right after shaving. I think it causes the skin and pores to constrict - I know that it cuts the bleeding time of small nicks by over half.

Acne is caused by the pores in your skin so this might help you.
