3 big enhancements to the retro game room:

Content added to 80% of all the games: Content has been added to 80% of all the games that didn't have content before. Content added includes descriptions, developer, publisher, player count, year, genre, and other stats which aren't displayed but are used to help populate the categories. I basically spent half a day creating a script that rips info from mobygames.com and adds it to the games on vizzed board (and get-your-rom.com).

Category enhancement and new categories: Before the categories didn't contain many games, not they should contain 90% of the games that belong in the categories. Also added a few new categories, co-op (haven't populated this yet), saving (displays all games that have save functionality in it's original cart) and all (displays all categories).

Better search functionality: You can now search for games based on developer, publisher, amount of players, genre, year released, origin, players and hack type; when you're on a game page, simply click the link for those attributes. For example, I can find all the games developed by Nintendo Co. just by clicking the link in a game that is made by Nintendo Co.

Cool enhancements Davideo, im impressed you wrote a script to rip info off of Moby games.. was it hard to do?

I think the search and categories will help a lot of people find games that they don't remember the name of but loved when they were young.

gtwalq: It was a little difficult but I figured out how I'd do it before doing it and planning ahead of time always makes coding a lot easier. It was more time consuming than anything else though.

joebab: The info for the games that was already there was not replaced. I prefer descriptions from gamefaqs over mobygames so I definitely didn't let it overwrite descriptions already added to games. Also moby games doesn't have cheats so games that have cheated added to them of course weren't overwritten.
