Mine has always been the wolf. It's not the only tamable creature, but it's been incredibly helpful when hunting and attacking other players on survival worlds.

My favorite mobs are Wolves and Cats/Ocelots. Wolves are really helpful, and the more you have, the more they do damage. Cats/Ocelots make any creeper bow down to it, meaning creepers are simply just Gunpowder Farms.

I like pigs the best because they are easy to lead in to places and then you get them to reproduce. Then you slaughter some of them!!!! This is how I get a lot of meat in survival and get jumped by 5 billion pigs when I walk in the gate with wheat in my hand. 
 
 The baby pigs just look so small and lovable too.

I like the Zombie Pigmen most. I like them because they are generally neutral, and don't attack you on sight. I actually let some of them stay in my buildings in the Nether! And it is funny to see your friend panic when they hit one. But when you hit one...all hell breaks loose.

Mine would have to be the Blaze. It's so interesting to speculate as to why they are in the Nether Fortress and even why the fortress exists at all. Of course, they also give you blaze rods, which make brewing stands, to make potions, that I love making.

The Blaze is my all time favorite mob! It is so much fun to fight, and it is worth going to the Nether just to fight the Blaze! It is challenging to fight it, which is why i love it! I could use a little challenge, because I don't like games being too easy.
