1984, Kansas City, MO - My mom won 2 tickets on the radio to take a bus trip to see Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 on their Victory tour. I really enjoyed it at the time and my mom even bought me a white sequined glove (I don't have it anymore, lol). Here is that exact full concert that I found on Youtube (video is poor quality, probably Betamax)-

RIP Michael Jackson

I'm not really proud of that being my first concert, Michael Jackson is (was) OK but I really enjoyed my second concert. 1992, Wichita, Kansas - Pantera on their Far Beyond Driven tour. Here is a song by them (I would have posted a live performance but this is a family friendly forum)-

RIP Dimebag Darrell

NOTE- To add a youtube video, stop your layout so it won't interfere with the vid and type youtube inside of these [ ] the full url and then /youtube inside of these [ ] . Don't forget the /

This first concert I ever went to was Avril Lavigne's 'Try To Shut Me Up' tour on April 21st, 2003. It was a great show and I had an amazing time. I had floor seats and it was rush seating, so that was a lot of fun. Didn't really know what to expect on the floor and me and my friend got bruised, but it was worth it.

Iron Maiden in Helsinki Jäähalli in 1992. You can hear three songs recorded from that gig on their  A real live one- album, which makes me even more proud I was there even though I was only eleven years old. Especially the haunting version of the Fear of the dark when everybody just suddenly started to chant along was forever embedded in my brain.

After that tour Bruce Dickinson left the band and I lost interest in Maiden forever and for everything they did post that so... It was when I think I saw them in their prime. And yeah, Bruce returned later but at that time I had outgrown heavy metal pretty much anyway.

Oh and it forever ticked me off that the venue was credited as "Ishallen" or some such. It was not in Sweden! So why...

Sadly my first was for the Hanson (SP?) brothers in the 90's....  Ok I admit I liked their music and I wanted to hang with my 'friends' at the time so I went.  I regretted the whole thing the moment I got there....  Girls screaming that's all you could hear.  No music just girls screaming...

Safe to say my second concert experience was much better by seeing Yani.  Oooo boy that was a wonderful concert!  Love the violin battles!  Audience was quiet and you could enjoy the music!
