When you are in the fifth grade you can tell exactly which are your favourite bands or artists and what kind of genre of music you listen to.

For me it was

1. Iron Maiden

2. Guns and roses

3.Ac/dc

Or some such and I used to write it to these books people passed around class asking this. But now we are older. Either we don't pay no mind to music at all or we, atleast I hope, have a bit more wider perspective of music that we had back then. No matter your taste, write about music in this thread. Either what you used to love back in the day or what gets you going these days.

2nd grade, 1985 - I begged my parents to be me my first cassette tape
Bon Jovi, Slippery When Wet

I had some albums before this (yes, I had the Micheal Jackson Thriller album) but rock has been with me ever since my first cassette tape.
My tastes are much more diverse now that I'm older though, I like some older country, some 90's rap (thanks alot GTA: San Andreas), classical, pretty much all rock and most recently dubstep.

I'll share a dubstep song because I WANT TO!

Anywhoo, I have also grown more fond of country. I always liked the blues but now I am actually growing to like more artists than Hank Williams the first. And old school hip hop is fine. It is just that the local stuff sucks so much mostly that I try not to listen anything to do with it.
